i guess mine'd be classified as more or less watered-down southern... grew up in a farming town in central florida, anyone who thinks there's no southern accents in central florida hasn't been to any of the right places. :D one of my best friends though in grade school was from south carolina, and her accent was so thick compared to our relatively less thick central florida accent that a lot of kids didn't even want to talk to her! so people even with the same accents actually have bias against other people with the same accent if it's thicker... strange !
oh, and i hate boston accents too. i've lived in MA now for 5-6 years and i can't understand a god damn word they say. friends of mine seriously have to translate for me sometimes. :toothless |

| What American accent do you have? Your Result: Philadelphia Your accent is as Philadelphian as a cheesesteak! If you're not from Philadelphia, then you're from someplace near there like south Jersey, Baltimore, or Wilmington. if you've ever journeyed to some far off place where people don't know that Philly has an accent, someone may have thought you talked a little weird even though they didn't have a clue what accent it was they heard. | | The Northeast | | | The Midland | | | The South | | | The Inland North | | | Boston | | | The West | | | North Central | | What American accent do you have? As I suspected:
| What American accent do you have? Your Result: The Midland "You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio. | | Philadelphia | | | The South | | | The Inland North | | | The Northeast | | | The West | | | Boston | | | North Central | | What American accent do you have?
