I don't have too much of a Minnesotan accent, however I do use a lot of the upper mid-west vocabulary. Such as You betcha' and the word Spendy when asking or describing a particular products price.

Oh lord. I used to have such an ugly French accent when I first started speaking English a few years go. Thank God it went away over the past few years but I still say some words with a slight hint of an accent. The one that took me the longest to say was "There" and not "dere".

HA! Well imo French accents aren't hot, regardless of how hot the person who has the accent is. It's just brutal. If you're speaking French you usually sound really nice, but once you switch over to the English language, lord have mercy on your ears.

after living in providence for 6 years, i've come to utterly despise the new england accent. what's even worse, i can now distinguish between massachusetts and rhode island new engladese...

non new englanders who want a taste of southie bostonese, should check out "good will hunting" and "the departed."

"you like aahples?

well i gottah numbaah! howyah like them apples?"

not quite, but i do pepper my speech with "fuggedits" from time to time :) since i've grown up in bay ridge/bensonhurst, i can do "goumbah" very authentically (much to the amusement of my non-nyc friends and colleagues)

my pops has the really old school new york accent (boids for birds) which is a relic of a bygone era.

it's sad and unfair, but regional accents are widely considered exemplars of ignorance, both in the states and abroad.
