I have this weird mix of , thick russian accent and a hint of some brooklyn accent as well. Weird thing is that i lived in brooklyn for 16 years and never had a really strong accent, until i moved to florida, and the accent became more prominent.

My accent isn't really a common one, like many uk cities/areas. Some of the more noticable are the london, the south west "farmer" one which sykadelik has, the brummie one and then the fake-brummie ones which birmingham people have, and it gets more annoying towards walsall, dudley, west bromich but it kinda goes away a bit for tamworth, coleshill, and coup has it even if he claims not to ;)

Then you have scouse, geordie, welsh, mancunian, yorkshire, scottish, irish, and mine is just kinda soft & nice :p Ask either frenchie (even if she didn't know what i was saying), chrissi, jake, angelblue etc if it's good :toothless

There is loads of Accents in the UK. Just above every county has it's own one I'd go as far to say a lot of the cites have their own one.

Some people rant on about estuary English etc I'm sure someone in Kent for an example sounds different to someone in Bedfordshire.

A good one. Nothing puts me off faster than a crap and tacky, common sounding, 'you might possibly be retarded' accent.

"You must sound like a struggling car battery sweetheart," is what sprung to mind when I read AndreaCKY772's post.

canadian? but i've had alot of people here in canada ask me where i'm from so apparently i sound a bit different, which doesn't make any sense i've lived in canada all my life. Some words i know i say diffrent are

Mum- instead of mom

and

Hut-dog, instead of hot-dog.

i have no explanation for this.

and no i don't say ABOOT!

All Canadians say "aboot", it's just that none of them want to admit it :p

People outside of California have said I have a slight accent but I can't hear it, I also mumble like crazy so really...you wouldn't be able understand me anyway :(
