You're probably remembering the interview Michael Moore conducted in his "Bowling For Columbine" documentary. I'm pretty sure that Manson's point was that children are very, very heavily influenced by the media anymore, but should really be influenced by their parents and other role models...And that if parents just ing listened to their children once in a while and took an interest in what they were doing and paid attention to them...there wouldn't be any horrific tragedies like school shootings. |

lol yeah. the real issue there is parents arent parents anymore. the tv is the parent. its sad really but until there is a societal change it wont stop. |

How are you so convinced that btg, a warehouse worker who spends most of his money on smokes, beer, and pool, has no valid opinion or points? Because you're getting a PHD? that makes you an elitist.
It's not like any of my points don't make any sense, or that I'm just making them up. Some of my numbers might be off, and some of my points might not be very well articulated, but that doesn't mean that you're some how at a higher authoritative level and anything I say should be disregarded. |

generally speaking [and i mean, generally here],
someone who has studied this type of material for years is more educated that someone who watched a youtube video. |

I do and I have, thats what Im trying to tell you. A lot of people have. Its been done. Im not trying to be elitist, MY point is that YOUR points dont have merit. Im not going to tell you how to do your job, why does everyone tell me how to do mine? Science is my job, Im getting a very high degree in it, and my biggest frustration with this country is that people who have had minimal (if any) science education try to tell ME that IM wrong.
Id like to be able to laugh you people off, but when it comes down to it, in the U.S., your vote counts too. So the best I can do is try to educate people. But only if theyre willing to get past the "hoax" bull. If not, Id be pressed to say it's hopeless. |

i totally agree in a general sense, but to be honest, too many people these days think that they are know it alls because they do have a degree. not that she is or isnt smart or is or isnt nice or anything of that nature. saying you went to school for something as a reason people should listen and take what you say as truth is on the same level as name dropping. its an utter bull way to get attention. no offense angela. |

not saying DONT believe scientists or anything of that nature. just QUESTION them. thats all. trust comes with time and a proven track record. even if its someone you trust you should still question their reasons and science. thats the way we find mistakes. thats how you introduce alternatives. |
