Take your uneducated thoughts and opinions elsewhere. Having respect and admiration towards a person is much different than worshiping someone.

I'm not going to a party to pay close attention and be educated and revel in the brilliance that Digweed has in playing other people's music. I'm going to enjoy the party. And in essence, a DJ's job is to make the party better with the music he or she plays, and Digweed fails at this job, because first of all the energy he brings is inappropriate for a party. He looks like he doesnt want to be there. And his style can be accurately described as purely pretentious. I saw him in Toronto 9 days ago and I was bored off my ass until a scuffle occurred with security because my buddy chucked a crumpled piece of paper at Digweed's head.

Digweed has definatly done it for me live, as for the productions not so much, am I the only person not digging Transitions 4? Dont kill me Grinder and MissK but I just dont like it.
But i give Diggers props, I would have never gone to see sasha and Diggers until a trip to Montreal convinced me to go with good friends, but wow was I blown away. Seeing him in Toronto that night solidified it, I would see Diggers any time he comes to town. |

| okey, im wrong, digweed is God 2.0. I say this not becaue I listened to transitions 4 and realised im in fact a moron and a douchebag, but because I was called those things because I dont like digweed. He must be that good that uttering anything negative about him will get such a rise out of people, i just dont see it because i probably have poor taste and must be tone deaf. |

Not liking Digweed or Transitions 4 has nothing to do with our reaction to your comments.
Urban Legend isn't a douche because he doesn't like Transitions 4, he's a douche because he's a Leafs fan.;)

What I find funny with your posts angrypole is that you attack Digweed on the basis that he is "just playing other peoples songs" and that because of this, admiration and respect for him is unwarranted. You go ahead to reference how you think he should spin at parties based on your criteria as to what a good party is. The thing that I find absolutely hilarious here, and why I referenced Transitions 4, is that the guy took 22 songs and turned them into 10. He effectively took "other people's music" and turned it into his own music. The compilation is entirely unique in the sense that you will not hear that music sound like that anywhere else. Digweed has succeed quite successfully at making something that he can call his own and that is completely unique to him in a very creative, and technically masterful way. This IS Digweed. This IS what he does. He does this stuff (although not to the same levels of intricacy and intensity) live that he did on the CD. You clearly have missed this and this is exactly why I think you are an ignorant moron for the way you came in here guns blazing. Do your homework first before you come around and make a fool out of yourself. The least you could do is express your opinion in an intelligent manner.
It's not DJ worship. It's whole hearted admiration and respect for someone who is doing that less than a handful of others are capable of doing. |
