please enlighten me to the difference. democracy is defined in modern times by representative government.

well, blame your citizens or your opposition government.

the point being that you live in a democracy where your laws CAN be changed, so quit your bitching and start your changing.
But it takes more than just one person to change a system. So it won't work out. And why do you care?

actually, it can indeed take one person from within the opposition government to change the system. ie, the next president.

why wouldnt i care? i care about all kinds of political issues.

The next president won't change things because he is being supported by the same corporations as this one.

I'll show you politics in America. Here it is, right here.

"I think the puppet on the right shares my beliefs."

"I think the puppet on the left is more to my liking."

"Hey, wait a minute, there's one guy holding out both puppets!"

They begin to build materials that the government will need and the government pays them big bucks for that. And don't you know? FORTUNE FIVE HUNDRED CORPORATIONS PAY BIG MONEY TO BOTH PARTIES. They gain from the corrupt government.

not entirely ;)

yes, corporations possess a peculiar amount of power in a liberal democracy. but less so with donations and support of parties, and more from their place within society- ie they provide most of the goods & services, but more importantly- almost all the employment. this is where business' real bargaining power lies.

however, i cant see how the blanket statement of "the corporations" can be connected with US policy designed to foster a supposedly "safer" society. indeed, many of the regulations would have had a negative impact on business, such as the new airport security procedures.

Firefox does very little to improve grammar or spelling.
