Well, seeing as how America is the only current dominating nation, everything they do somehow affects the rest of the world. |

No it doesn't, it does quite well at picking up spelling mistakes - As long as your not too far off the mark in the first place. ZxZDeViLZxZ would definitely be a lost cause for it though. |

Corporations set the terms of popular political discourse. In U.S. media there are no objections of any substance aired against the generally neoliberal, pro-interventionist* policy of the U.S.
* There are objections to particular instances of interventionism that turn out badly (as in the Democratic objection to the handling of the current Iraq war), but no objections to it on principle. |

to mnay squilgse ot rgith clikc on :haha: no big company's do play a role and they have everything to gain from everything in politics however this is one thing they really have no gain from. besides risking their consumers. my point was that people simply do not do anything and soon enough it will become too late to do anything at all. at some point something will give and the most disgusting part is the fact that people simple fail to realize that you put these people into power so they have to eventually listen. flood offices with email, snail mails, calls. make their job that much harder put pressure just today on msn there was a article about a boarder patrol agent taking bribes of cash and cars to allow immigrants to be smuggled in. correct me if im wrong but they are the first line of defense based on all the new acts going into effect. so all im saying is you don't have to sit there with your thumb up your ass a simple email will do the trick. hell going to your congressman or senators website and click contact XXXXX XXXXXX click here that is all it takes. this isn't en 1820 where you had a en musket in one hand and a band of hicks with pitch forks to fight with this is modern age crippling them with legitimate snail mail, email and phone calls will get a point across. start asking ask what are they doing for you. people fail to realize this that they are there for YOU not jo blow x corp. that gives them a 10grand check to say yes to some bill. they would never get to say yes if it wasn't for YOU.
this effects everyone who from other country's likes flying into the states simply to stand there and get your ass drilled about every little detail for 2 hours just to go on a vacation i know i don't. sad part is i am a en American and its harder for me enter my own ing country then it is to enter another one. |

"Neoliberal" means favoring laissez-faire economic globalization and unchecked expansion of multi-national corporations around the world. It is a specifically economic term; modern American conservatives are "liberal" in the old economic sense of favoring fewer legal restrictions on business. |

| the patriot act would cause a loss of profits in fact if you read one of the links it goes on to say about how financing or selling things to anyone on this list can cause a penalty of 10million dollars. thus means less people they can sell their product to with the amount of people put on this list for no logical reason. if i owned a company i sure as hell would run those kind of checks because i wouldn't want the government taking my 10mil simply to blow on making me loose more customers. |

please enlighten me to the difference. democracy is defined in modern times by representative government.
well, blame your citizens or your opposition government. |
ROFL your trying to have a politcal debate yet you dont know the difference between an democracy and a democratic republic. wow
democracy is where EVERYONE votes on things
democratic republic is where you have representatives that vote for us.
of course this is the most basic definition but thats the most basic difference. |
