With all due respect, I still can't fathom the idea that the party was put to an end because of a puddle that only his manager Lou B saw. It's not even a load of gossip going around but everyone has the same story of JP literally being cracked out at the DT party and storming out when DT played a certain song. I also heard he was running down the street after he left, from some other people (Gerard told me first, but another 5 people told me the same thing). Why do you think JP explained the whole DT thing? Because something visibly wrong happened from everyone that was there, so why not sugar-coat with a load of excuses. Prior to this, one positive aspect I did feel toward JP was his love for his fans, but seriously, I see this whole thing as a load of crap and bad excuses. The only reason he wrote this letter was because of all the bitching that was going on in the JP forum, of all the cracked out shenanigans tha constituted his stay at the 2007 WMC.

^^^Is it any coincidence that a day after all this happened (with post upon post of incriminating stuff on JP, from his most BELOVED fans), that his forum is "down for maintenance"???

If he does a NY gig to make up for it and everyone is allowed in free, then I will see his efforts as true and sincere, and I would even go to support and see what he's playing nowadays, haven't seen him in exactly a year, and he sucked then, and I hear he's 20 times worse now.

Im not hating, im just trying to think of a way a free gig in NYC would happen. Thats like going to Brooklyn and asking for free weed. :conf: ROTFL. But seriously, just the whole idea of him still having fans and trying to creat something seems pathetic. What fans and what VIBE is he speaking of ?? 2002 is long over, as is his short lived career at SF. He contributed zero to EDM dance music as a whole, except maybe threads like this that make him look like the joke that he is/was. LOL, funniest moment is when I was with a friend at Carl Cox at crobar and he walks up to the bouncer and asks if he can go say hello to Carl Cox in the booth. The bouncer looks at hime and goes, "Who the are u ??" Hes like, "But im JP, from Sound Factory." Bouncers like, "I could care less who u are, ure still not going into the booth." That moment was priceless. :toothless

He is just a f*ckin North East Clown. He is a small time fraction to EDM in total and it would do him a massive ton of good fly a little lower from the sun. (he keeps burning his feathers) :clown:

I'd like to raise the question...

If we are all saddened by the direction in which the 'EDM' scene is going, with all the people saying it's not like it used to be, do you think peoples responses contained within threads similar to this is simply contributing to the decline of the scene?

I mean granted, whether he's lying through his teeth or making excuses, fact is he in some way shape or form felt he needed to communicate to his fan base. Even if it were a blatant lie or made up excuse, he did so. Now, I'm not sure about you guys, but I haven't seen Armin in the same fashion. Because Armin holds weekly radio shows and places peoples tunes, does that necessarily mean he's a genuine person? Because he gave that one person a chance to be heard, he's ever so popular?

I think alot of people are too caught up in self proclaimed fame that the minute the old which was once good, begins to show its ugly face, everyone is so quick to spit on it.

I've been to JP parties at SF, at Pacha, out in the Hamptons or down on the JOISEY SCHURE, but I'm in no way shape or form a FAC-TREY Head or a JP Fan.

It's understood to have your own opinions about a DJ, but to bash an artist relentlessly only leaves me to believe that some have nothing better to do then to enjoy seeing someones image defaced.

My twentyfive cent

what i don't get is that he takes the "looks on his fans' faces" and the "vibe" a little too personally. it's called BEING CRACKED OUT AND IN NEED OF MORE DRUGS JP;) i'm sure that's all it is.

and the whole thing with the fire marshall at space is bull. they are just doing their in job, unlike club space. i can't stand when that happens, and as much as i like the music, i will peace out in a heartbeat if i can't even breathe or walk around because it's too packed. not my idea of a good time.

ps-i finally made it to the shelborne around 3 pm that day to find the guestlist had been "taken down" about 30 minutes prior and it was $100 to get in. :wtf: oh well. i've never seen so many guido crackheads walking out of a party in my entire life. i really don't feel like i was missing anything.

so we headed to the south seas hotel to chill and have a few drinks...with KID NYCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

You can say that DJ has bad moments live on decks or bad moments in career or whatever else you'd like to say about (an artist) but people don't raise negativity for nothing.

(Junior once got so wasted in Israel before his gig that 30 minutes into the set he was dodging beer bottle from the angry fans, and Junior is the EDM rolling stone legend of NYC and the World. While JP on the other hand is the "America's best VOTED DJ" who comes to Miami and only one who bitches.

I wonder if there is even 20,000 EDM fans on West coast that heard of JP, been to a JP party or know who the hell is JP, the "America's best VOTED DJ"?

Kind of a same story was taking place at Studio (Crobar) opening night when entry was stopped for over 2 hours because fire marshall ordered it so and that didnt stop Calderone fans from standing outside in freezing cold waiting to get into the club only to wait another 2 hours to get their coats back when music was stopped at 12pm on the dot. Everybody still came back next month to get a nice little bonus from Calderone who played extra 5 hours. :gsmile:
