I know what you mean, and I totally agree. I am way happier to get something for no reason than I am because people feel obligated.
My new boy bought me a bouqet of flowers because the colour reminded him of me, and he thought I deserved them :)

It’s even more pathetic when women give men an ultimatum about either proposing to them or else they’re gone.
Who the would want her boyfriend to ask her to marry him, knowing that he only did it because she threatened him?? That’s the most pathetic I’ve ever heard of, and sadly enough, A LOT of women do this. It’s because all their friends are “getting rings” and having babies and they feel left out I guess.
When the time comes for me, I want it no other way than my boyfriend asking me completely out of the blue. |

i think it's alright to talk about the future and stuff if it's that serious. i mean, he wouldn't want to get turned down right? lol...he might want to know atleast that you're thinking about things the same way... |

Amen. I just got done with that BS. Unbelievably annoying, especially for somebody who normally LOVES surprising someone else. It instantly takes all the fun out of it. Blegh.
