Considering I use to listen to a lot of Rap/Hip-Hop/Alternative/Rock/Metal/Punk stuff when I was growing up, i've definitely become an EDM snob.
I won't even listen to anything thats not EDM. Not because I choose not to, but because it just doesn't do anything for me anymore.
I don't know why, but I can only listen to Trance and some nice dirty house beats...
I absolutely hate going to Black/Top 40 clubs when my friends go out for birthdays or something. I have to go, cause they're my friends. But still. I don't enjoy myself lol |

I'm the same on the bolded points. I just don't get the shivers down my back from any non-EDM music. Whenever I listen to non-EDM, it's just there, I get no emotion from it, no excitement, nothing. I don't hate it, and I can listen to it for hours, but I won't enjoy a minute of it.
And the second thing even more, lol. I can't stand going to clubs or bars where they play ty music. ty music = me standing = me bored the out of my mind. Strangest thing is, people think that because I go to EDM clubs a lot that means:
a) any club is just like any other, and they don't understand why I refuse to go to some mainstream club even though I go clubbing every other weekend.
b) I will dance to absolutely any music at all. If the DJ goes from Maroon 5 to Ludacris in half a beat, that's apparently just as danceable as the music I hear in EDM clubs. |

i don't even bother going... i sometimes don't understand why my friend's musical tastes cannot evolve like mine, it's like they're stuck in the past trying to relive the glory days of hiphip/rap when it's clearly OVER! |
