I had such a good time last night :eyes:
The music was amazing, I heard so many tracks that made me go bojangles haha, definitely one of my fav nights at Guv when it came to the DJ's song selections.
Unfortunately, I only stepped into guv around 1:30, in time for Moby's set so i was sad i missed the roaches :(
Moby was amazing, I loved his set..and when he played CHICAGO :eyes: oh man <3 lol
DJ Dan, Junkie XL, Dekoze, Donald Glaude and Dubfire were amazing, I caught abit of Mstrkrft, wish i stook around longer but i was all over the place lol.
It was really packed but there were less people last night than at Ultraspin12 i think, i just remember having more room to dance than at us12 which was great. Orange room was wayy to packed..so sweaty:nervous: lol
Overall I had a really good time, it was great seeing everyone
and the afterparty was priceless  :D haha
:) :) :) :)
P.S CRIBBY BABY, YOU MADE MY NIGHT WHEN YOU TOOK THAT PAPER OUT OF YOUR POCKET!! LMAO IT WAS ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS
I LOVE YOU HAHAHAHA :)

My night started off SLOW. Guestlist line was going nowhere for 15 minutes, so I bolted to the "other" line and got in about 10-15 minutes later with Billy and Chris (I never did see you again!). :conf:
I see that the coat check line was a bit long, so I decide to head over to the KH coat check...which ended up being closed until about 12-ish.
Heard The Roaches for a bit. They were good.
MO was doing nothing for me.
Head up to the Drink - this room seemed to be the only one that was packed. The music delivered by Manzone & Strongw as really good.
Head towards KH for Moby. I really enjoyed his entire set. He had me moving non-stop.
After his set I went to the Orange Room for DJ Dan's last 30 mins...but I got bored from hearing 2 songs, so I left for Guv and Dubfire was on fiyah! Loved it! Set of the night for me.
Getting my coat from KH @ 6am was a fiasco because they weren't letting anyone into KH. :conf: Apparently the plan was to bring all the coats from KH coat check into the Guv coat check, but there was no real timetable as to when this was going to happen. Whose brilliant idea was this??? :whip: So I just stood there at the front of the coatcheck line in Guv waiting for the coats to arrive, and eventually one of the Staff members was kind enough to take my ticket and get my coat from KH. Not having read the whole thread, I wonder if/when the coats did arrive.
Overall, I thought the event was very average and poorly managed. The decor was nicely done!
See ya in 2 weeks. ;) |

The Roaches Opening set in Guv was good. Nice danceable beats.
The Koolhaus sound system seemed to be really loud. Even when I put in my ear plugs, the sound level did not seem to decrease.
Mark Oliver's opening set was solid as usual.
"Jump around ... Jump around" I have not heard him play that one for a while.
The lighting in Koolhaus I find is allways in my face. Unlike the overhead lights of Guv which add color to the dance floor, and the dancers, the Koolhuas lights are nice to look at, but the dance floor still looks grey and drab.
Moby was a must see for me.
I am not in to techno, so for me his set was more of a concert than a party event. I was nice to hear GO, Porcelain, plus a few others.
I was not realy into his set, but hey I came by as there was the chance he could surprise me with something new.
Junkie XL opened with the classic Pacman, other video game sounds.
Stayed for a bit.
I was nice to meet and chat with some familiar faces.
So looking forward to Armin and Markus on the 21st. |
