Where to buy DJ gear ?

Alright so I'm getting more and more serious into the DJ gear. I know some stores like DMention and MoogAudio, but I was wondering where you guys buy your gear in montreal. I'm looking to get this setup :

{First generation setup}

2x Pioneer CDJ-200
1x Pioneer DJM-400
1x Pioneer HDJ-1000

Also if you guys wanna comment my setup, go for it :) But my budget is a bit thight so no 1000MK3 or Xone:92 haha ;)

Update :

{Second generation setup}

I'm now thinking about this setup :

2x Pioneer CDJ-800MK1 (from Markus)
1x Pioneer DJM-400 (from Markus) OR Xone:32 (from Moeva)
1x Pioneer HDJ-1000 OR Technics 1200

I'm unsure about the headphones...I guess that's a personal opinion and I'd have to try them out. What do you think ?

Update 2 :

{Third generation setup}

2x Pioneer CDJ-800MK2
1x Xone:92
1x Pioneer HDJ-1000

Still unsure about the mixer, but headphones and CDJs are final.

Thanks !

is ebay good for that kind of stuff ? But it can be much less expensive (like 100-150$ less)...

Ebay.

Less expensive.

2x CDJ-200 Pioneer for 600$ = woot

I wouldn't recommend ebay just for the fact that it's almost guarenteed to receive an odd perk with the product you buy....

A friend of mine bought a cdj800 from ebay and his pitchfader lagged bigtime...

I bought a pair of krk monitor speakers from ebay and one of them has a slightly different sounding low end than the other...

If you buy from MoogAudio, then expect to get exactly what you want since it's all brand new...

Also, I strongly recommend you to use xone mixers over pioneers, Look into it if ur keen http://www.xone.co.uk

I would shop around! The problem with ebay is warranty!

yeah ebay you mostly get refurbished things which are 3 months. And if you get brand new, warranty is only within the country so if I buy from USA and I'm in Canada, warranty isn't available here.

As for the xone mixers, they are very expensive. They are certainly worth it, but only if I can get a mixer for no more than 600$CDN...and I'd like effects :(

I'll sell you my DJM400 for 750$. Not one scratch on it and I've only used it for about three months now. :)

Well the xone32 and above all have aux and send features, which means you can use ur own fx pad and give it its own stereo channel on top of that (awesome when mixin fx)..

I'm selling my xone32 soon to upgrade, i only enjoy mixing with filters, you can mix in/out in so many different ways....

No offense Marcus but I can get a new one for 750$ at DMention or Moog Audio ;) Maybe you could do a better deal ? :p By the way, how is this mixer ?

moevalith, you got any idea how much bucks you'll sell your xone ? If I can get a xone for a good price, I might drop the effects for now. Anyway, there are 3 included on the CDJ200...

None taken but with tax it comes up to 878.60$. ;)

I'd be willing to drop it down to 700 but I can't go any lower buddy. :)

Mixer is great man. The research will speak for itself. ;)

The onboard FX unit doesn't give you 29617536812 million fxs but it gives you everything you need to get started on. Flanger, Filter, Echo, Delay... tons of fun if you're mixing trance. ;)

I've had absolutely no problem with this mixer what so ever and the only reason I'm selling it is because I want to get the DJM800.

All in all: quality purchase for a beginner DJ. Great with trance. ;)

I'd also recommend putting the money towards CDJ800 and not wasting ur time with the 200s. This is just my personal opinion tho so take it with a grain of salt. :P

I have 2 CDJ800MK1s AND a DJM400.

Maybe we should talk. I could probably give you a great packaged deal. :P
