What some anti-theists will never get is that they're just the other side of the coin... worsened by the fact that they actually consider themselves to be more open-minded.
Edit: oh, and I've experienced something "similar" when a woman started yelling at a professor because he mentioned Darwin. The rest of the class rofl'ed, mostly :p |

come on lira, you know better than that. what you dont see is anti-theists organising and trying to enforce their views in politics. big big difference imo.
"open-minded" is a catchcry for people that think not possessing an informed opinion is somehow a virtue. do you think anybody that has made their mind up about something is automatically "close-minded"? coz thats just silly. |

as well as the people who aggressively criticize ALL religious people for being CLOSED MINDED SCIENCE PWNS YOUR FACE.
I think religion is a personal choice and should be kept that way. Yeah, there are some loons who will be fags about it (WBC), but a lot of people benefit immensely from it (and i'm not talking about $). Hope is something a lot of people in this world need, and Xbox360 can only do so much for the next generation. |

why should one's spiritual beliefs be sacrosanct, when all other beliefs are open to criticism? ie should members of the KKK not be insulted for their beliefs? |

organizations like the KKK should be criticized as much as the religious groups of people who push a campaign full of aggressiveness and indimidation. The religious folk who sit in their chair reading their bible and going to church on sunday, then go to work, raise their family and make do for themselves, why criticize them and say YOU'RE STUPID?
There's a difference between the (the majority) of religious people who attend masses and read scriptures and the loons who blow up abortion clinics, call for the eradication of certain people and do the acts of the West Burrough (sp?) Church.
every group/organization has loons in it. accept it |

as long as they dont harm anyone i dont think it should be of anyones's business to be honest. You could think what you think but its your actions that count. keeping someone from believing something is wrong imo. |
