Trance without BONZAI tracks....

DjCresto talked to me on msn, and said where would trance be without bonzai, well now im realising it,

I think Bonzai is one of the biggest, if not THE biggest trance label on the planet.

Take away all the tracks they released, and there would be a big hole in the quality trance world.

What u think about that?

Both yes and no.They've brought us all the quality productions from M.I.K.E,but they've also released a bunch of clichéd tunes that I don't like. But their meaning for the trance scene is HUGE.Along with Eye-Q,they were among the starting labels back in the days.

they have brought out many top quality trance tunes but u got to rember that tracks are sometimes out on smaller rec labels and then get taken on by the bigger ones as the tunes get popular..im not sure if bonzai do a lot of that.. but there are many other big trance label's out there too.. i dont agree there would be no trance without bonzai, my rec box has only a few of their tracks , sure ive missed out on heaps but there are so many different labels out there. additive comes to mind in being a huge label as well.. but they sign from smaller ones also.

not too sure about that comment, by any chance are you a fan of m.i.k.e. that would probably explain it. none of the tune i listen too are on bonzai apart from altitude - altitude (SHOKK remix) was on UK bonzai (although not bonzai anywhere else)

If bonzai would have not existed you just erase three years from 94 to 97 from my trance history.

They def' ruled with their hardtrance style.

And The Bonzai Dj of today are not representative of what Bonzai records was be4.

The Bonzai sound has soften along the last years...

And i really appreciate M.I.K.E sound now but i won't never forget the rebirth thingy (the five ones), underave - disciples, cherry moon traxxx, etc. They made my day before Astral projection and goa turn me into psy stuff....

YDR is last one dj from this former breed of Bonzai DJ.

So YES BONZAI DID INFLUENCE WHAT TRANCE IS TODAY.

bah...mediocre at best. Bonzai is cool and all..but having like 1000 records now (I just counted today) I realize I only have like 4 bonzai records (and I think there all belgium)...and I love trance. Nice label and all...but not like it's carrying trance on it's back.

I love the bonzai label. we created a thread with a bunch of bonzai tracks a while ago so if you're looking just search "bonzai" with my user name.

Yeah Bonzaï released top tunes back in the days, and they still release some bombs right now (not as many as back in the early 90's though), but lately I've heard some rumours that Bonzaï isn't in the best position financially right now. I didn't believe this at first, but I hear it more and more now. I hope those people are wrong...
d-jay MyTH
think hooj have done more for trance than bonzai ever will.

lost tribe
tilt
marmion
solar stone
jx
silvo economo
etc...

torontotrance
It would be different and ppl would not have m.i.k.e pics for their sigs and the trance scene would be different.
