i dont know how you could possibly say having serato and cdj's is pointless, inefficient, or whatever... are you serious?
serato + cdj's = the bomb
cd's + cdj's = save 500 bucks and buy serato |

You are correct. Looping works on the CDJ's, but the instant loops don't. The software looping in Serato is way more accurate. With version 1.8, instant looping will be once again possible.

| Don't know about CDJ-200s effects but CDJ-100s breakdown effect does work with Serato. But no Jet or Wah effects |

any built in effects on the CDJ will not work, but effects built into the mixer will. looping and cue points work perfectly.
i recently got a chance to really spend some time (8 hours +) using serato controlled my 2x CDJ1000 mk2s. I swear to god my mixes have never been more on point in my life. IMO it is the end all, be all setup for mixng. Now i just need $2500 for a pair of mk3s. |

HELL YEAH!!! I noticed the same thing. I want to sell my CDJ800's & my DJM3000 and get me a pair of 1000's and a Xone 92. |

The only problem I see with this is that serato is very expensive. |
