Blizzard has NEVER been innovative. And a good thing too. Innovation gives us ty games with great individual aspects.

...

Thank God too, because every time I start to give up on the gaming world releasing the same garbage games with new packages and shinier graphics,

im curious as to how you reconcile these two statements. i would certainly put starcraft 2 into the latter category im very sorry to say.

Diablo RPG ? If Diablo is an RPG, Grand theft auto is a racing game

Border jumping turd? so you've assumed that I am brown skinned? HA ha. why is it that stupid people always generalize? It was A console game way before becoming a computer game. So suck it, ok?

It's an Action RPG, you progress through a story to save the world while gaining levels and upgrading gear to make your character more powerful. How would YOU classify Diablo? It's an Action RPG, pure and simple. For reference, Action RPGs include the Ultima Series, Secret of Mana, the .hack series...

Grand Theft Auto is a sandbox game.

Starcraft 2 isn't out yet. We don't know anything about it except that it has slightly upgraded graphics when compared to Starcraft. What I'm praying and hoping for is Blizzard to do what they've always done, and IMPROVE the existing, successful formula rather than try a slew of new things that end up ruining the game. A few new units, a couple of special abilities, and all's well that'll end well in my mind. The difference between Starcraft, and the 'garbage games with new packages and shinier graphics' is that Starcraft is already a fantastic game (in my opinion, still the most balanced RTS with the best gameplay). My complaint is with games such as Mortal Kombat, it's always been ty, and other than giving it a new package and updating the graphics from time to time, the game still plays the same way it did 10 years ago... tily. Other examples? Any of the 'Fighters' series, the first one was great and new and fun when it came out, the next bazillion near-identical games? Not so much. What Blizzard does that has given me so much respect for them, is IMPROVE upon things rather than trying to totally overhaul them, or take the EA route and just release the same game with '07 tacked on the end instead of '06. That's the point I was trying to convey.

Diablo has its own genre name and its hack n' slash. It does have elements of RPG, but mainly when it comes to character development; your decisions don't affect the storyline.
Unless Ultima is like that too, Diablo is innovative

well, SC2 is shaping up to be exactly what you're criticising EA for doing. of course it will be less obvious because of the years in between the two games, but similar nonetheless.

i guess i was just hoping when they finally did a new SC, that it would be the greatest RTS of all time. and it can't possibly be, if its not that different from other RTSs already available :(

Right you loser. Judge a game before it comes out that is really smart of you dumbass. Why can't you just stop playing video-games and do something with your life, you dreg? I have a quarral with you and I challenge you to a dual.
