Ok... story in c0r form:
-driving to get food at 11pm last night
-hit a ing water pipe cover similar to something like this  except it was metal, silver, and a little smaller than that.
-the cover said "city of waterloo" on it... indicating that it was some tard city dude who was a douch bag and left his crap hanging around
-blew the tire
-pulled over
-decided to change tire
-realized that the ing dealership we bought the car from less than a month ago DIDN'T GIVE US THE ING SECURITY LUG NUT KEY!!1!
-cop pulls over to find out wtf we're doing
-cop calls us a tow truck
-cop starts to make a report for us, and then has to leave due to an emergency
-HAVE to get the car towed (can't get the tire off)
-pay the ing tow truck with my credit card
-FINALLY go to get food (in a different car)
-get a call from the police saying we need to meet a cop to finish the report, RIGHT BEFORE WE ORDERED!!
-wait for a half hour for a ing cop to come (still haven't eaten... I am starving!!)
-cop finally shows up and tells us we have to go to the police headquarters that is like... two ing cities over (GAH!!)
-go to headquarters today
-cop tells us it was "careless driving" because we should have been able to see and avoid this piece of , to which he compares it to A ING CHILD!!!!
-I want to lose it on the cop
-no report is made (AFTER ALL THAT!!)
-have car sitting on the side of the road, waiting for tomorrow to take it to the dealership
Ok, to be clear, this cover thing is like... 15cm wide, and 10 cm thick. It was silver/grey, in the middle of the road, at night, on a street that doesnt have street lights. There was NO WAY we could have seen it... I mean, it looked like it was part of the road. I thought it was a pot hole or something.
I am so pissed off.
The dealership better ing pay for the tow charge, or they will be dealing with a VERY irate Theresa.

Well no wonder he thought you were being careless!
Firetruck the cop and, YES, the dealership should definitely reimburse the tow charge. That's absurd that they did not give you the lock-nut. |

That made me lol. Thanks :)
And yes, the douche bags at the dealership gave us the whole kit to change the tire (the donut wheel and the jack and everything), but DIDN'T include the lock-nut thinger. I swear, we spent like 20 minutes jacking the car and pulling the nuts off the wheel, and then realized we couldn't get the one off because we didn't have the key.
We looked for the thing, the cop helped us look for the thing, and the tow truck guy helped us look for it. We even looked in the hood (we were that desperate to find it). NOWHERE TO BE FOUND!!
I was ready to lose it.
I have already decided that if the dealership gives us a hard time about the tow charge, it is going to small claims court... no doubt about it. it, it is the principle of the thing.
That is total negligence on part of the dealership. |
