I think that what he did was very sweet and most likely innocent.
As you mentioned, he was away from home and in the effin military..he was lonely, and went through hell watching his father die when he was a kid and ON TOP OF THAT feeling guilty about it...I can only imagine how miserable he must have felt. He confided in you, and probably just needed a hug and someone to talk to, he needed some attention/affection. He never attempted to do anything inappropriate (wanting to you or being a sleeze ball).
He wanted to see you when you were sick, brought you flowers and food..That was very sweet and kind of him.
I think that this guy is harmless.
Girls are funny...when a guy doesn't give a hoot about them and give them no attention they complain and say he's an inconsiderate prick, but when they do give a , they think he's a stalker.. |
Couldn't agree more.
I can see how the 17 - 24/25 age difference may have been conceived as creepy back then. Now that's its 7 years later, the age difference ain't really a factor anymore
If you were a little anxious about the situation, stick to communicating with him on Myspace and any other online chat facility you kids use these days for the time being, just to gain more of an understanding of his intentions, and then take it from there. |

I disagree...I don't see what's so bloody creepy about her story..plus she might be exagerating it hardcore for all you know.
I don't see the harm the guy has done at all...all he's done are sweet gestures. |

Does anyone AGREE with me that a 25 year old forcing her to let him come over when her parents were gone to give her soup and talk to her about all that terribly personal stuff is really really weird???? I find that incredibly weird. It might not have seemed like it to her back then, but if any of my 25 year old friends did that to a 17 year old I would be like WTF.
Its weird.
Jamie this has nothing to do with you. I dont think youre weird. |

He never FORCED her to let him in...he did insist that he wanted to see her, but nobody forced her to open the door for him and let him in. She did on her own accord. |

"On her own accord" is only a little bit of a good argument for a 17 year old.
CREEPY. |

Thats naive
Put it this way Selma, the guy friends you have are your friends, but hey still would you would if you let them. If women didn't have vaginas we wouldn't talk to them at all.;) |

well, i met my bf when i was going to turn 18 two weeks later and he was going to turn 25 about a month later. i WAS cautious at first because you know how that is with older men and younger girls on some occasions but we are still together 4 years later. there ARE decent people out there once in a while and you can't really generalize things on age...it's basically how you carry and conduct yourself.
still, doesn't really seem creepy as long as he didn't force his way in. |
