women are not creeped out when they are 17 so easily.

I exactly dont know how to frase it but yea its creepy....

ok just wanna touch on a few things here...

first of all enigmatic, if anything I'M the one who is defending him and saying that i thought it was more sweet than creepy.

i also agree that the age difference back then was a little creepy, but u have to remember that men dont exactly mature that fast. i know it sounds cliche' but i find that to be more true than not. i'm not saying he was this immature guy, but mentally at 24/25, guys are more like 21. and i wasn't THAT immature for my age. i was living in japan and and doing pretty cool with my dad a lot, i had a much different outlook on life over there than most teenagers. it was a privilege living there and having that experience. i was a good kid in high school.

i agree that he probably was just lonely and was reaching out to the cute girl at the hospital who was volunteering and whatever. but i mean, one of the other hostesses i work with at the restaurant is 17 and she and i totally hit it off. lol we talk all the time at work and yea she's a little immature, but not so much that i'm like, "jesus shut up". she's pretty on the ball and cute...if she wasn't so young i'd hang out with her probably. so maybe he felt that way about me.

also, he wrote me back already and reminded me of something that i had totally forgotten about. he was tutoring me in geometry and i had forgotten about that. i couldn't even remember why or how he had my phone number or knew where i lived, but that sort of put together some missing pieces.

also, that night that he brought me soup and flowers (he also brought this up in his last message, how funny is that) that wasn't the night that he told me about all of that with his dad. i think he had come over one night for tutoring and my dad wasn't there because i remember we were alone in my living room and we were done w/ the tutoring and we just started talking about my dad and then he brought up his and he ended up confiding in me with all of that and that's when i hugged him. i hugged him for like 10 minutes. it was really sweet, i felt horrible for him.

so i think during a time in his life when he was the most lonely, i was sort of like an escape for him and he never once acted like a scum bag and tried to get in my pants or anything. not saying it didn't cross his mind, but the point is, he was respectful and never tried.

also, he wasn't like one of those typical military guys. like all masculine with his guy friends going to the gym every night and really proud of being in the military. i think he was just in the navy to pay for college. he's about to start med school this year and works for some medical supply company and travels a lot. he said he would really like to catch up with me, etc...

i'm gonna go with my gut and say this is harmless. it seems kinda creepy...and i thought for a second that it might be, but i dunno. i think he's a nice guy.

that's better?

military guys are obnoxious pigs for the most part. i lived on a marine base for 2 years lol and all of my dad's friends are fighter pilots...cockiest son of a bitches you'll ever meet.

he just didn't seem like the type to be in the military. he was more sensitive and intelligent. not like busting beer cans over his head and looking for fights in all the bars out in town w/ the japanese. that used to happen a lot.

The way you speak of him makes me think you kinda went in this thread having a minimal about creepy feeling. Eventhough it is your choice, you sound like you knew your decision was made prior to people commnets. Just the way you speak of him.

He sounds like something out of a movie, or something out of tv.
Slylee
we'll see!

igottaknow
