Thanx a bunch Nightmonger and Freeza. I am going on 9 months of sobriety. As I said at the end of my last post I was helped a lot by people here and I wouldn't expect the support to stop.
I would like to thank everyone here as well for being so supportive of not just me but everyone who has ever had a problem solved here on TA. |

I started doing drugs when I was 23, now I am a vocal supporter of the legalize marijuana movement and the admin of the shroomery.org
I use mushrooms once in a while, they aren't meant to be done every week, but every few months a trip is something very awesome to experience. Perception is your reality, to open the doors of perception gives you other perspectives in life, psychadelics help you to see things you didn't notice or realize was there before.
I smoke weed rarely, even though I fully support legalization, weed isn't exactly my favorite thing. I don't smoke, so smoking weed isn't easy for me (cough, cough).. I went through a 6 month period where I did E once a week, but since then I've basically decided a couple of times a year is plenty for me.
I will never do hard drugs, just plain stupid if you ask me to take such a big risk with my body. Smoking weed, doing mushrooms, occasionally doing E, and enjoying liquor is not going to be hurting me much.
As with all things people do drugs for many different reasons, why do people drink if it can cause alcoholism and lots of health prolbems? People live life for experiences, there are many things in life worth experiencing, and for those who choose not to do some things because of the risks thats fine. I personally see little risk in the things I do, and I am glad that I have tried mushrooms, weed, and E.
This coming from a guy who used to be an avid Anti-drug supporter. One trip on mushrooms and look what I became ;) lol |

| i smoke weed alot i havent for liek a week though taking a break adn then im gonan let my self go on 420:) and i dunno if drinking is considered a drug but i drink alot |

Hey, there are some really touching stories here, like Eletric_Hybrid's, and some other interesting opinions here, that's why I thought that it would be a good idea to bring this thread back from the dead, instead of making a new one :)
Me? Never took anything (except alcohol, obviously) and I've got my reasons (both social and biological), but I don't have anything against it (nor against who uses it). In fact, I might try some one day, but not now. |

i do very litte of anything now but in the past i formulated some opinions...
i hate E with a passion. i hate the way it makes me feel while i am peaking and i especially hate the comedown.
i don't really care for drinking too much either but i drink on occasion and even get drunk every once in a while.
weed is not a drug. i've cut back but i miss it. only reason i stopped is because i am too lazy to go buy more. but it's harvest time now...
never did coke, k, herion... don't think it is in my best interest to start now.
love acid, shrooms are an adequate substitute.
smoked opium once - made me feel lazy - don't want to do that again.
i try to stay away from pharmies recreationally. i work in the industry and that is enough to convince me not to take them for fun. |

i dont use drugs...never have done illegal ones...i dont drink either...or smoke for that matter.
i think the entire idea of addiction, and needed an outside subtance to help u feel better, or function more efficiently is stupid. but hey, thats just my opinion. |

so i assume you dont drink caffeine, or take over the counter pain medicine either?
and there are no activities in your life that are so important you could give them up forever, right now?
i think as a society addiction is an important thing to consider, but people attach a negative image to the word, so it gets downplayed in it's commonness. thats JUST my opinion tho... |

Let me please give some breef comments:
If we just legalize all drugs, most crime will disappear. When we legalize them, using drugs isn't cool anymore. Druguse will go up but we end up with a lot less excessive users.
We could use the money to start educating people. Which also leads to less druguse.
When we legalize drugs, quality will go up which has health advantages. If the government will not put to much tax on drugs, alcohol abuse (the worse drug) will go down.
Think about it
