I just figured if im going to spend the money I may as well buy the best...... i dont know...
are the 800's solid? what cant I do with them that I can do with the 1000's? |
yes they are. basically a cheaper version of the 1000s. for more on the specs go to www.pioneerprodj.com. if youre just playing at home/friends parties, 800s way more than sufficient. if u willing to dish out 1300 a pop for the 1000s, get 2 800s and a djm800 |

lol
if you dunno if you're going to be serious about picking up djing as a hobby, why would you want to shell out money to buy the best gear? |

Obviously you haven't used a 1000mk3 to its full potential (then again, not many people do) |

LOL i've been spending thousands of dollars on vinyl for the passed 2 and a half years.....either way the cdj's will be cheaper in the long run.

^heh.
well, most of the answer to what you're looking for (800s vs 1000) debate is on the DJ booth forum.
for the record, what is the going rate for an used pair of 1000mk3s anyways? 1300? |

I have an 800 and I didn't feel the need to upgrade. I've had it for a year and it works like the day I bought it. |

| the 800 is enough for hobby mixing...i would even say you can go lower than that if you just mix outro/intro...the 800 is also the standard in terms of club gear. Not too many clubs have the 1000mk3's either. |
