| I think the risks of a tattoo turning into a mistake that will follow you for the rest of your life outweighs how cool it would look for a little while after you get it. Chances are, a decade down the road, even if you won't regret getting it, it still won't look nearly as cool as it used to. |

What risk?? It's fairly minimal if you have 1/2 a brain. Putting just a bit of thought into the process (mainly the artist selection) eliminates that issue for the most part.
The "mistake" tattoo is more often one that is done poorly in terms of quality opposed to a bad choice in the type of tattoo IMO.
Also the "risk" in terms of poor taste/embarassment factor is entirely in your own hands, so speaking for your own concerns, do you mis-trust your own judgement so badly that you consider your choice of art to get tatto'd a significant risk factor? |

I don't mistrust it now, but hahahaha in 20 years it's pretty much guaranteed I'll go, "OMFG what was I thinking?" I look at the choices I made when I was just 5 years younger, and they're laughable to me now. I can only imagine what I'd think of my current lifestyle choices 10 years down the road. People change, grow, and mature throughout their entire life; their tattoo unfortunately, doesn't. |

LUV tattoos on girls, so hot. |
You didn't actually read my post, did you? Or maybe you meant to reply to someone else's?

Of all the people who might have asked this question, you're the last I'd have expected it from. Pot vs. kettle and all that crap.
But I'll humour you. Yes, there are lots of things I like - just not a lot of fads and memes I like.

That sums it up pretty well. Then again, I'm not sure if some of the people who've posted in this thread have spent a lot of time maturing. |
