as much gruff as i can take its kinda hard when your fellow party peoples rank on you in a club about doing for you the people. i wasn't embarrassed or anything but felt it was a bit unnecessary that a group of wild bunches felt the need to call me out as if i had some special priveledge since i was elected mod. i know all in good fun, take it in the arm but part of me didn't want that attention since my intentions were truly the voice of our community..i was never in it for the fame or the power but it seems like everyone made it out like i had an agenda
possibly misinterpreted on my part but the same right goes to the action set forth..i am who i am...yall know me, seen me, im not one to draw much attention to myself and even on TA i come off like who i am when you get to know me, doesn't mean im this way with everyone right off the bat.
so to clear the 'why did you resign as mod' it was purely because what needed to be done was done, the attention it brought wasn't what i wanted at all, and for the past 2 years or so i think we've done really well with/without a hawk on this part of the forums.
i can relate to ian/redeye when i chilled with him and he said what do you think about the boards..i said its cool whatevers no biggie and his reply was...it was always no biggie but everyone makes it out to more then what it is...i understand that now and hopefully you all do too...have fun be safe meet people but by all means none of us are better then each other. we the people |

| i went there for Howells and Calderone..Howells was nicely packed but VC was super packed and they shut off the AC which forced me to leave @ like 230..dont even wanna know what its gonna be like in there if this is true...i wanna see this mother****** spin with some cdjs cuz his booth def aint fittin in there |

I care...Because it's people like JP that draw unnecessary attention to what I choose to do in my private life....From my own New York experience JP is partly to blame for the closing of more than just a couple of clubs...Blatant drug abuse behind the decks aint cool..Obviously you noobs seem to forget clubs getting busted and kids dying.....But thats ok,,just as long as it doesn't ruin your night out....

while i don't necessarily disagree, the management and ownership of the clubs have alot to do with their closures. Throwing kids out the back door when they're about to die isn't the best way to gain community support.
The douche bag bouncers at the doors don't help either. The newest assault on the NYC scene started with that 18yr old girl from Jersey that was raped and murdered after partying it up at Guest House. If the bouncers didn't let that girl in non of this would be going on right now. Remember the outcry in the papers after her death? That made the police crack down on Spirit resulting in its closing. Eventually the city put pressure on Crobar, made it change its age policy, and it eventual shut down. I just hope the next good club in the city doesn't open up in chelsea. Hopefully something in the 30s or 40s on the west side so there are no "neighbors" to bitch. |
