I think the crowd type of Cielo has been on the decline recently, even seeing a few fights at Desyn. |
fights over what, did someone drop a bag on the floor? |

I always find it comical in regards to how much attention JP gets when mentioned on this board. I mean really. What exactly does it mean that "Cielo Jumped Ship" because JP was booked there? Fact of the matter is, he is gonna pack the place out and they are going to make money. From a business standpoint, it's a good move.
And whether or not you like his style of house music is merely a matter of your preference.
I understand what people say about "his crowd" and the type of shanannigans that go on behind the decks. Steve I def agree with you about JP being somewhat of a promoter of doing G and about more than a handful of people losing their lives at his parties. But his parties are not the only ones where people have OD'd or died. I have seen that happen at other parties too. I also disagree that it is all his fault. People had their own choice to DO G. They knew what a fine line there is in regards to doing too much. Just like I had my choice to do it when I went to Factory for his parties. I chose NOT to do it. All I am saying is that he is not the ONLY DJ to get all crunked out. Granted, he does more often then others, but there are DJ's in Trance & House besides him that get messed up. JP chose G, others chose E/K/Coke. Just like some of us chose E/K/Coke or G.
I will end with this. JP has definitly had a more prominant role in being an advocate for doing G than any other DJ. Other DJ's do other drugs. Some of us do all of those drugs, some of us do 1 or 2 of those drugs, and some of us do no drugs at all. We have all heard stories of how they all affect you differently and of what the potential dangers of each one is. Unless someone put a gun to our head and made us take it, we have no right blaming ANY DJ for whatever happens at any event. |

| ill agree with that completely..no matter what stereotype is linked to JP and his events, each and every person in there had their own choice that nite to take or not take drugs. u cant blame JP for what each individual decides to do while at an event. this takes place at events all over the world with tons of different djs but yet for some reason JPs events are always the ones targeted and criticized which is what bothers me |
