Bro, I understand what you are saying. But More specifically what I mean is that he is not going to Buy or Win-Over the NYPD. When Giuliani was mayor, he specifically Created club task forces to shutdown place because of drugs and . They were sucessful in closing down TWILO, TUNNEL, LIMELIGHT, and SOUND FACTORY(even closed them after they were renamed) just to name a few. Every one of those clubs I just mentioned are legendary to NYC, maybe even more so than SPACE to Miami.
Louis is a smart business owner. But he WILL have his hands full here in NYC. I know Pacha has going on inside of it, but it's only a matter of time til it gets shut down too.

Competing with another mega club has nothing to do with competing with the cops....but you are right, that's a war that will not go far. But if Space does open up in NY I'm willing to bet it will outlast Pacha......Pacha is still open even after they beat the living piss out of an off duty cop. If they can get away with that, imagine what Louis and his deeper pockets can get away with. I didn't realize you were speaking in terms of the police when you said NYCers.....I figured you meant club goers.....what side are you on Joey? da police! hahahahaha

Mansion is not going to have an EDM format so I'm not sure if that would impact it, and as far as I know, Pacha is not operating at a very high margin so I can't see a Space NYC and Pacha both staying open for long.

Well, I meant the combination of both. Clubbers & NYPD.
I think that if Louis does open Space here, it will run well WITH Pacha. Let's not forget that Morillo owns part of Pacha. If my memory serves me correctly. Morillo & Louis are pretty good friends. I think RZO mentioned that in his post as well.

Space will be the orange to Pacha's apple...

Pacha will premier the house DJ's, Space will do the trance and techno.

Space doesn't book trance DJ's only during WMC. PVD is the only trance DJ that has a partial contract with Space so I don't see them doing many trance events if it happens.

Ok...

Calderone costs more than 50K a night, FYI

yup, agreed, their profit margins are minimal, boris also gets around 40k, these clubs are not making the killing people think they are. operating costs are around 10k just to open the doors for a night.

P.S. good to see you're alive!
