Truth be told, I think his punishment should be that four of the craziest, muscle-bound, PCP & steroid addicted former professional wrestlers and XFL players the court can find get to keep him in a kennel for a year, only taking him out to do whatever kind of ed up huge guys high on PCP and steroids do to other people and animals.
Now that would be justice.  |

ah yes, the roids rage. seemings like a good punishment. i wonder if any of the guys in prison want to him, so they can be like "yea i handled mike vick while he was in the joint". |

No but seriously it's just funny how people don't realize that horrible things are done to animals in other countries and it's considered cultural. In spain its fine to slaughter a bull in a painful and time consuming way, and it's entertainment.Here it's fine to keep chickens cooped up and pumped with steroids for our consumption. Where do we draw the line? |

moving away from the dog argument a bit, a good argument was brought up on Sunday during "Sports Reporters" (oh btw, i want to add Mike Lupica as one of those annoying reporters to the list). one of the panelists (i forgot who it was) stated that when vick's friends bailed out on him a couple of weeks ago, they basically broke the friend honor code. the friend honor code is you never rat out/snitch on your friend no matter what the consequences are. there is a loop hole out of that rule, and it is the friend is an as*hole, then it's all right to snitch. so either vick's friends are pussies for ratting him out or michael vick was an as*hole to his friends. i think the latter.
and btw, RJT, i did hear about the drowning and hanging the dogs, but i didn't know if it was proven yet. the last i heard about that allegation was that it was supposed he did those actions. |

Biggest gimps to have ever graced this planet? No. Every person who has committed murder is much worse of a person than Vick.
Only reason why many people are horrified over these charges and is because we treat dogs as humans. Had Vick been convicted of running a fighting ring, believe me, he wouldn't have been really vilified. |

I actually disagree with that bit profoundly. In fact, I think plenty of murderers are doing their job by thinning out the herd.
And I'd have been as horrified no matter what, animal abuse s me right off (environmental ethics specialization and all ;)). |
