Sound quality. I only like loud music up to a point.

Luckily we do have clubs with good sound quality over here, i don't go out clubbing often though.

the volume has to be loud enough to completely involve you, and on two equal systems, louder will sound better.
it's a common sales trick in audio, compare two systems but make sure the one they want you to buy is a bit louder.

i would pick sound quality over volume, but i want both...

all the songs on my PC are 192-320kbs so they are good quality and sound great. i use my stereo system to play music via a usb cable to my PC. and i use winamp which has equalizer settings to adjust the sound settings plus i use DFX which is an audio enhancer.

Sound quality. You can usually turn up the volume if something is too low anyway.

x2

Why would you want a loud mp3, when you can just turn the volume dial up to full anyway?

Most sound systems go up way, way louder than you will ever need.

How does it enhance audio, exactly?

What about compression? Hard Ratio or no compressor ?

In a way that makes music sound better with it than without it.

i have to agree with everyone here, there's no point in having a loud track if you can't make anything ouf of it because of the poor quality.
