This is the data in 1 second in 128kbps mp3 . . . . . . . |xx| |xx| |xx| |xx| |xx| |xx| The computer, decoder, DFX wouldn't know what belongs in the |xx| sections!

There is NOTHING that can be put in between these clumps. You can try and mask it like Mystery says(much like the Upscaling process of a standard 480i video feed), but it's far better just to grab the track in it's natural+more complete state.

well to my ears DFX makes music sound better, it just sounds more clear and vibrant. i could never listen to music on my PC without DFX now....

That's probably to do with your hyper-sensitive hearing, yes?

(That was you who wasn't it?)

It colours the sound and makes the music sound the way it's not supposed to sound. It might make it sound "better" if you're using computer speakers or some cheap-ass speakers but you should had no need for a device like that even on semi-decent speakers/amp.

Then again, if you think it sounds better, good for you.

The thing is you can't really have high volume without proper sound quality. Well, you can but the output will be complete garble.

Quality. Many softwares are available to edit tracks and boost the song's volume, whereas I have not seen any that can fix track clipping and other aspects of poor quality productions. I am in total agreeance with DFX being only useful for lesser multi media speakers. Try using it with good quality monitors and it most definately does not sound better. It is however a great tool for people who do not understand how to properly eq and just want to listen to music. Bottom line is although it may not do what you think it does, if you think your experience is better with it then it has done its job.
