Very nice night.
Came in at 1h00 to Stereobar (thanks to Selma for the guestlist !) ;)
Went up at 2h10 to Stereo and Batz rocked the floor. I love this kid ! I wished he played some of his latest releases though :( Lie Besoin D'Aimer, Miami, Moments Magiques...
When Talla came on the deck I was a bit sad that it was Talla and not Tyas from 4-6. Talla did put some great songs (Sound of Goodbye - Nic Chaggal Remix !!) but his mixing technique was weird. I was able to clearly say when he was mixing. Maybe he wasn't used to a soundsystem like Stereo, I don't know. But sometimes, the new song was coming way too loud and we could clearly hear the mixing.
Tyas was exactly what I expected. A lot of his productions, remixes. I don't care what many people says here, I find him to be a very good remixer and producer. He was very good at mixing yesterday, not like Talla. I still could hear a difference while mixing but maybe I'm just too picky.
Overall, I had a very great night with my friends. I won't say I had a blast because I was expecting a night exactly like that. A blast for me was Paul Van Dyk last week or Bal en Blanc last April. ;)
Selma, where the hell were you ? I sent you 2 or 3 sms and never got an answer and didn't see you on the floor. Thanks for the Stereobar guestlist, but I wish we would have met yesterday :( |

| Maybe Tyas is a good producer but as a dj, he sucks!! Anyone can drop good tracks but that doesn't make you a good dj. There was no flow, it got boring really fast. Thought that Talla did great. Still had a good time overall:D |

Unbeliiiiiiieevable!!!!!!! :eyespop: :eyes: :eyespop: :eyes: :eyespop: :eyes:
Absolutely everything about last night reminded me just how much I ADORE Trance and the fact that some people don't like it or grew out of it is beyond me!
Unfortunately I missed Gab's set as I got to Stereo shortly after he was done, Talla was already on..some beautiful tunes were played, really enjoyed his set. He nicely warmed us up for what was about to happen..
And theeennnn Mr. Sean Tyas came on and absolutely ing destroyed the place and everyone in it from the second he started playing..slamming epic, uplifting, HARD tunes one after the other and had everyone there going nuts!!!..Wouaaahhhh did he ever DELIVER!! He played some of his productions and some other unknown I never heard before but I totally ate it up. He was nice enough to play my requests "Diary of Jane", "Lift" and "Drop". Just wanted to hear those on Stereo's sound system and played by the dude himself. :D.. His mixing was on point and every track he dropped was SICK!, excellent crowd interaction also.
The place was nicely packed, a lot more people than I expected..which was nice. :gsmile:, great vibe, everyone was having a good time, lots of smiles and hugs and hands in the air hehe..man I just love these nights at Stereo. :D
Met some super nice TOTAs that recognized me and came to say hello..Hope to party with you guys again and glad you had a good time at Stereo. :)
And of course nice partying with my very own MTLTAs. Bertuzz, Sean Walsh, Vlad, Layloula, Trancission etc..you know who you are.
It wasn't even difficult for me partying it up till the end at Stereo completely sober cuz the music was so insanely good!. :)
Neo, so sorry my phone was out of battery and I only got your text messages later when I came home. :(...I looked for you though. I was right at the front of the dance floor the whole time with all the TAs. And when I wasn't there I was upstairs at the VIP, but not for long...I always came back to the dance floor..weird you didn't see me. :conf:
Epic night. Bring Sean back plz!!!! |

I had an "eventful" night to say the least, seeing my ex-girlfriend ed up making out wiht a guy at Circus was the only reason I went to Stereo, but I'm glad that happened because I had a wicked time! It was solid Sean Tyas style trance, well-mixed; but imo it sounded like the same track for 2 hours. Then again I was ed so take that with a grain of salt.
Was wicked partying with Selma, Bertuzz, Vlad, and the guy whose name I forget that knew 'Time Lapse'! Props for that, cheered me way the up.
Selma I came back at 9am to find you but I guess you were gone, sorry for bailing but I'd bailed on my co-worker at Circus on the drop of a dime and needed to see if he was aight. |

No problem man, I completely understand..I left around 8-ish, my bed was calling me. Glad you're ok and had a good time after all. Always a blast partying with you. :) |

they should have switched tyas and 2XLC, tyas was too hard for 7-8h in the morning. he's a good producer, but 2hrs of dj set is just too much for me..
Talla did put some grest songs in the beginning like voller sterne (super8 remix), but he had such BAD mixing skills, i couldnt believe it.
still a great night overall |

I went from electro beeps and bops at SAT, to trance-put-your-hands-in-the-air-praise-Armin-omg-swirl! Was quite a contrast!
but overall sick night! I've been kind of behind in my trance, so I barely recognized anything besides Sean Tyas-Lift. Regardless, talla and tyas threw out some banging tracks.
was surpised how busy it was. I had been to some past Trancemission nights and it was practically dead. This was a nice improvement!
Was great partying with the usual trance@stereo crew! Fellow drunky Sean Walsh showing up unexpectedly, Selma sorry I didn't get a chance to say bye I was completely exhausted, Trancission (n0000b:P) and the two TOTAs (vendetta and Tamar right?) we met randomly. Inch beses, hope you guys had a sick time in Montreal!
man mcdonald's breakfsat at 8:30am never tasted so good :D :D :D

Drove down to Montreal on my girlfriend's birthday. The only way I could go was if she came along.
So here we are driving to Montreal from Ottawa, and by the time we got to Hawksbury we couldn't see 10 meters in front of us. The snow was coming down so bad that for the span of about 45 minutes we were going 40 km/h on the 401, while following a truck with our four-ways on. You couldn't even see the road--unbelievable.
Got to the hotel, crashed for 1.5 hours. Walked into stereo about 45 minutes before Talla got on. He started off with bombs. His mixing was weird, but the songs were sick. Talla2XLC was really into it too.
During the filler tracks, the girlfriend went back to the hotel, and it was all bombs from there.
Talla had an overall good set. Sean Tyas blew me away. He didn't disappoint at all. That was the first time in a while that I've been to a montreal event and came back without disappointment. Every Tyas song dropped was sick!
This was the first time I've been to Stereo, and it won't be the last. I had a totally different pre-conception of Stereo--I thought it was a hole in the wall. But it was really really nice, and far far from a hole in the wall.
The sound system is pretty damn cool. The sounds were crisp and clean. I can't say enough about it.
I will definately go back, especially if there is a DJ that I have yet to see.
I would love to see:
Aly & Fila
and
Manuel le Saux
I would also love to see Above & Beyond again |
