nice....
collaboration between hiphop and electronic music is really a way to merge things, we're doing that in San Diego and its nice seeing the dif people jamming together...
and theres always a crossover in the crowds... cuz tho I may be all house music... i can always digg some good hiphop... preferably not new.

If this brings more hot black chicks, i'm all for it.

i'll also reserve judgment until after I see it which will be next week for B&J and Serge. I remember Space in Miami was usually hip-hop on the second floor and the main room in the bottom was edm. As far as I'm concerned, there were really never any instances where I was annoyed by a passing wannabe gangster or someone of the sort. But different coasts, so i'm not sure. Hey we got the main room right!

What I find really odd is how only the hardcore EDM fans are the ones that complain. The other crowd seems a little bit more open minded. Heck, I know we all have close friends that won't step foot into an EDM venue because it's all EDM. But if we tell them that there's Top 40 on the other rooms, they will give it a chance. I know I have tons of hot girls that will go if it's not just EDM all night long.
Let's face it. We're facing an evolution right now. Most music in the world is now electronic. Electro is having a huge influence on other genres and it's bridging the gap. Listen to Britney's new song. It has an electro feel to it. It's only a matter of time before Holden, Tiesto, Sasha, or god know what other big DJ makes a hit remix out of it. Listen to Timbaland's productions. They have electro synths on them. Kanye West remade Daft Punk's Stronger and it's a smash hit. Not to mention latin groups like Belanova who is a HUGE electro band that draws thousands. Music is evolving. Keep up with it or you'll be left behind whining and crying.

i guess it's just close-mindedness??? trust me, I'm elitist when it comes to Edm. I just don't really care about all other genres of music. But I can't complain if there's nothing to complain about yet. So i'll see what happens.

Exactly!!! Thank You Very Much!!! That's my whole point! Don't bitch yet, until you see how it goes. Man, if it's a cholo fest, you can bet I will be the first one to bitch! But in the meantime, don't bitch yet. And I bet you that if a shooting happens one day, and it was caused by an EDM person, first thing on TA will be... I TOLD YOU SO!!!! If 's gonna go down, it's gonna go down anywhere regardless of the music playing. I remember a while back I went to Avalon to see Judge Jules, and the outside of the club was taped off because they had killed someone. But no one inside the club found out because they kept it low pro and it happened outside the club during the main performance.

EDM and Hip Do not Mix! No way no how!
I have seen what it does in SD and it sucks! Get the really fake look at me I am wearing this designer.. and if you are not wearing a designer then you are not in.. The guys also do not seem to know their boundaries when it comes to dancing even though you tell them know and walk away! :nervous:

I'm not sure this is all that much better than the gangsters. I don't have a problem with mixing hip hop & EDM in a club, I like to keep an open mind. But I can't say I'd like to be hanging out with a Hollywood crowd.

exactly what i was going to say. it seems like mainstream is slowly converting to electro sounding beats. strangely i noticed that kiis fm plays trance music everytime they are self promoting the radio station (u know the little bits before a commercial start right after music or right before the music starts after a commercial). next time pay attention and ull hear everything from ferry corsten to tiesto and bt

i understand what u mean, but in a way people want that and thats why its in hollywood. if ur looking for another environment then stay out of hollywood. it probably wont be as hollywood as les deux if that will cheer you up.
