| prob is, my roommate partitioned the hard drive but admittedly screwed up because the c-drive was too small and the other drive is like 50GB of free space. I tried to go into device manager and partition it back but some options are missing and I don't want to screw up files that are currently on my c-drive... |

That's not even a question.

So you kept the egg that the two pigeon parents have laid on your balcony and it has since hatched? ;) |

Your questions are becoming more and more confusing, so I'll stop now.
But yes. |

;)
I was trying to burn *special* files off my pc onto a DVD and it would take forever... And then when I wanted to run those files off the disk and view them, the computer would freeze.
I figured it was lack of space or memory issue? I've since installed more memory, but I only have 5GB of space but I do have 320GB of space on other drives. |

Off topic question...
though its computer related, just not about DVDs.
My compy is driving me nuts (even after being freshly reformatted 2 months ago... she's just lagging and too slow with GENERAL PC use... not even talking games... just getting around XP, you know, the net (firefox), music (winamp), docs (word/excel), etc. just average joe compy ...
Its a Win XP, AMD XP 3000+, 1 gig RAM (the basics)
So, thinking of just grabbing a cheap Dell... for about 550$ i can get a reasonably superior compy than my current one...
Win Vista (not saying thats better), AMD 64 X2 Dual-Core 4000+, 2 gig RAM (just the basics).
What im curious about... Im thinking to order it w/ just the integrated video card, bc i already have a ATI Radeon 9550 (256mb, 128 -bit) which im happy with, it lets me play Guild Wars just fine.
and i dont feel like paying $60 for the 128MB NVIDIA GeForce 8300GS (which isnt better), or $150 for the 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT-DDR3 which is better, but I dont really need.
So, QUESTION IS:
Bc this is going to be a "DELL" computer, am i going to have issues installing my current ATI card in it? Im assuming Dell shouldnt be a bitch and require i purchase a video card that they offer specifically in order for it to install right and work...
just want to make sure...
:conf: :conf: :conf:
Thanks for feedback. |

i would just build it myself or get a friend to. it'll be much cheaper and u can upgrade to any parts later. dell is a bit iffy when u want to upgrade certain parts.
ps. go with an intel processor. |
