My knee

Yesterday I played football, and some Donkey managed to knee me in my upper thigh at full pelt. I had an instant dead leg, but carried on playing. It's now 24 hours later and my leg still feels dead. There is no bruising but it still feels like a bruise when I prod it.
As well as this, right underneath my knee cap now seems to have swollen up. This started to feel this way earlier on today. It feels like there's jelly underneath my knee cap and when I walk it feels like my knee is caving inwards on itself - Which let me assure doesn't feel too pleasant.
I am going to go to the doctors tomorrow morning, but I just wondered if anyone here knows what the is happening? I have done a bit of googling and have discovered that people who suffer from knee problems often suffer not because of weak knees, but because they have thigh muscles. Which explains why my knee would suddenly start hurting with my thigh muscle being out of commission. But the fact that it still feels like jelly beneath my knee cap is a bit of a concern - Almost fluid like.
Am I going to die? |

| yes- and it's really going to hurt. Or not. I guess you'll find out tommorow at the doctor. |

Had the same kind of jelly issue under the knee cap when I tore the cartilage out of my knee playing footie in high school.
Don't know if it's the same thing, but it's a pretty common injury. The downside for me was that it required an arthroscopic surgery, but it's outpatient and a very quick recovery.
Hope you get your damage sorted out quickly. :) |

Kyle, you never, ever have to ask an Englishman (or anyone else outside the US) to clarify.

Same thing. Only difference being that one of them is a gay word used by yanks without a clue, and the other is football. |
