4. Washington, not being mean but the bullets had a better shot :stongue: :nervous:
but when arenas comes back(fully) they will have exp. players (jamison and butler but not Garnett and allen type players still)! Great teams have all-star(s) players. Not sub-all stars.
Are you kidding me?
Jamison: 21.5 Points, 10.2 Rebounds per game
Butler: 20.8 Points, 6.8 Rebounds, 4.8 Assists per game (37% from 3, 90% FT)
Arenas (2007): 28.4 Points, 4.6 Rebounds, 6.0 Assists per game (35% from 3, 85% FT)
Garnett: 18.9 Points, 9.4 Rebounds per game
Pierce: 19.9 Points, 5.3 Rebounds, 4.6 Assists per game (38% from 3, 85% FT)
Allen: 18.0 Points, 3.8 Rebounds, 3.1 Assists per game (40% from 3, 90% FT)
Add to that the fact that I'll take DeShawn Stevenson over Rajon Rondo and Brendan Haywood over Kendrick Perkins and you've got a compelling argument for a healthy Wizards team as being just as good as the Celtics. Ray Allen is in decline (in my opinion) and other than sliiiightly better outside shooting, the Celtics don't have much of an advantage.
And then you add the benches and it's no contest. Antonio Daniels, Andray Blatche, Darius Songaila, and Etan Thomas blow away anyone the Celtics bring off the bench (including the geriatric PJ Brown and Sam Cassell who will both be nearer retirement than the peak of their careers next year). Even Nick Young and Roger Mason offer more dynamism than any of the Celtics bench really does.
Beyond the Big 3 there isn't much to the Celtics, and their Big Three is not really any more impressive than the Wizards'.

It is obvious that celtics players from last year still around got much better? Now we both know the reason. Those stats you showed meaning nothing. You can say those wizard players had better stats but why a worse record. Shows the big three no matter could score 1 pt, 1 reb, 1ast and if they have the best record in the east I don't care one bit and shows the other players around them do the job.
example. Houston winning streak. Team full of med players and maybe 1 all-star played with heart and no super crazy stats and won. Only the W matters and maybe those wizards have all-star stats but are not true ones leading their team to victory everynight.
The did a good rebuilding process since the MJ era but I think they are cooling off. They have a good two years left if they all stay healthy to make it somewhere? The end of the past 4 seasons show woohoo we made the playoffs now what??? I can name about 5 teams exactly the same as the wizards that make the playoffs with their average record and lose in the 2nd round lose bad or swpet.
I am sticking with in my previous post if those things occur then your wizards will be on top.
Added tidbit: Ouch for the Nuggets :wtf: (151/147 seattle)

Have you followed this season at ALL? The Wizards have struggled because they've been without their two best players for most of the year! That's like saying "why aren't the Celtics as good when they don't have Paul Pierce AND Kevin Garnett?"
Arenas came back the other night, but now he's out again (probably until the playoffs). He played a grand total of seven games this season before getting hurt. Butler missed sixteen straight games in the middle of the season as well. The Wizards have had maybe eight games all season long with their best three players healthy and on the court. Now Jamison is hurt. So is Stevenson. You simply can't say that the fact they only have 45 wins is a product of them not having the talent. It's their subs that are carrying the team right now!! If this team could stay healthy, they would have the most talent in the East, top to bottom.
As to the team getting better, the Wizards are one of the youngest in the league. Seriously, take a look at their roster. Antonio Daniels and Antawn Jamison are the only two players on the team born before 1980. They have four rookies on the roster this season. We're not talking about old geezers like PJ Brown and Sam Cassell. Andray Blatche and DeShawn Stevenson are going to be effective in the NBA for a long time. This team is going nowhere but up.

"effective in the NBA for a long time" does being effective win championships? Dallas and Suns and Orlando are effective. Where is their ring??
In my eyes. Wizards = Atlanta. Semi decent and will they make it to the eastern finals??? healthy or not.
I am trying to figure out: Next season you expect them to do well like how well?? 50+,60+, conference final??
I expect if healthy: 47 and 2nd round
not healthy 40 and 1st round

If healthy I'd say 55 and Finals. And if they can re-sign Jamison. Arenas has offered to take a pay cut to clear the cap space needed to re-sign him - if that's not a display of effective leadership I don't know what is. This team wants to remain intact next year to have a shot at winning the whole thing. And they are YOUNG so they will have multiple shots.

Good luck because I am done talking about the hawks I mean wizards :toothless . If verndogs agrees with what you said(55 and finals) then I will hate the NBA and learn a new sport like badminton and start an official thread!

All this newspaper talk about keeping Isaiah in the organization(removed from coach or not). Don't forget he cost them 11.5 mill law suit which had almost nothing to do with the basketball side of things. When it comes to bball or not he f'd up so remove him 100% and then maybe you can start fapping away. Plus get rid of randoph and some others. If they don't make the playoffs ok not next year but the year after God help the knicks in general.
PS you prob already know PE might join if Mark Jackson gets the coaching position. That would be a good look for NY fans
oh are all the spurs healthy? If so just freakin great :whip:

Of course the Spurs are healthy, and they're just about to start playing actual basketball.
