Typical response. I hear the same crock from my sister.

The USA wasn't included because they already have solid statistics for the USA, since the obesity "problem" has been studied to death. The USA has a much higher population density than Canada, therefore there is a higher absolute number of obese people. It's been known for some time that per capita, Canada has been just as bad, and now, it's worse.

But Americans are still fatter. Definitely. Has to be. Stupid fat imperialist redneck Americans!

Ha ha... :) me too :D mostly I eat boiled potatoes - potatoes with smoked salmon, potatoes with baked Tilapia fish, potatoes with fresh baked salmon. Potatoes with stir-fried chicken. Recently I made "French" potatoes - you boil them a little bit, then put into a baking pan, mix with grated cheese, strips of cut ham (I use chicken or turkey ham), chopped onion, slices of boiled egg (though I don't eat that very often), chopped peppers or other vegetables, maybe a pickle, and then you put salt & pepper on top and set to bake for a while (until the cheese melts). Yummy! (maybe you know that recipe).

Or... I make pasta. I used to make it a lot when I was a student in University, cause it's quick and easy to make. My cooking easy recipe knowledge really isn't that broad, so I'm limited. I prefer it when my friend or my grandma :tongue3 cooks for me :gsmile:

My tip for you: make pasta and salad. Or toast... if you have a toasting machine. Or be like me and make potatoes. ;)

hahaha oh man u sure do eat a lot of potatoes...but hey at least u're creative with it..and potatoes are sooo damn yummy....i make all kinds of recipes actually...bc ever since i moved out of my parent's house where i'm used to home made meals every day i had no choice but to learn how to cook...it was kinda hard at first but so worth it now knowing how to prepare healthy home made meals

Yeah... home made meals are the best :) I wish I knew how to make more of those off the top of my head, I can if I have a recipe, but I rarely cook different meals than the ones I described, cause you have to have all these ingredients and sometimes many pots too and it's just cumbersome. Or in many cases it's not even that, but the fact that I'm lazy. I don't like cooking. I just like eating... :D so it's best if someone who loves cooking, like my grandma, does it for me... unfortunately for me, she lives in Europe...

I wish I still had a grandma:(

I was too young to appreciate her while she was around. Always cooking. Always asking me if I'm hungry.

"Your growing boy, eat eat"

and then if I didn't clean my plate...

"jesus, forgive these children that don't appreciate your bounty" (sounds better in native tongue) LOL...

She was so proud just watching her family eat her wonderfully prepared meals.

*call your grandmother(s) and ask them how they are doing, then tell them how much you miss them, and that you're never as satisfied as after their home cooking*

There's something about preparing a feast and seeing everyone stuff themselves and tell you that it was an awesome meal
