There are rumours the province plans to take control of the TTC as part of thier new GTA transit strategy. David Miller and his TTC lapdog Adam Giambrone are against the idea, citing service cuts and fare hikes. What do you think?

of course Miller is against it!
that means he won't be able to milk for more funds, while increasing the TTC fare |

I think that's a great idea, having one unified transit system, I haven't taken the transit in a while, but I hated how I had to pay two fares coming from Mississauga to Toronto. Hopefully the provincial government can run it a lot more efficiently, cause for the last few years the TTC has been going downhill, it looks dirtier and there was a couple fare hikes.
I don't know what the hell Mel Lastman was thinking when he built that Sheppard line, that money would've been a lot more useful if they built a subway line to Square One, there are probably like 10 different buses that go from Square one to Islington, imagine how much more people would take the transit in Mississauga if it was a subway ride all the way downtown. Look how much traffic on the 401 and 403 in the morning coming from the West end.
They should perhaps change the pricing system for the transit, I know a few transit systems such as the Hong Kong MTR charges by the stops you make. |

Go Transit, (A crown corporation of the province) runs at 92% cost recovery from ridership.
It also makes sense that the province pay for the ttc considering a lot of the riders are not even from toronto and ride the system on a subsidized fare from Toronto tax dollars |

Privatization is the only way to go... |

Unions are BS. Doesn't promote efficiency at all. |

The city can't manage it... They don't deserve to control it.
The province will probably be able to do a better job in fares and service delivery than the city.
Privatization would make it rattle & hum. |
