my brother decided to answer this question too
"when she's not given you periodsekz for 3 months and she's getting a bit chubby"
what a waste of my time. Anybody want to take him off my hands, free to nearest home? |

Honestly, you should be in at the time you're schedule, period.
I think in all my jobs, my cumulative "time late" has been maybe 30 minutes.
Because think about it... a minute here, and a minute there, REALLY adds up. It also brings into question: where should you draw the line? 5 minutes late? 10 minutes? etc.
Just go in when you're scheduled, period. On the off-chance that you are late for a valid/legit reason (personal, traffic, ing your GF), you won't get into trouble and you won't feel bad about it either. |

Would suck if you generalized it for your first day at work on your first job. |

to me, late is anything past the time you are supposed to be there. 1-5 minutes, not that big of a deal as long as it isn't everyday. +5 mins, it's like, come on man, just leave your house a few minutes early and the problem will be solved.
ps, i thought this thread was going to be about some chick you knocked up. |

Yeah I don't understand how someone can be 5-10 minutes late EVERY day (like my bf, lol). Just ing leave 5-10 minutes earlier! Jesus!
Mind you, my bf works for his parents, and they're not gonna fire him, so.... |

lol I used to set my clock 5 minutes early, so I'd always be on time given the natural way i'd push things. it worked even if people thought i was stupid |

| if you come in late, they should be happy, the less they have to pay you, which they can just spend on themselves. |
