20 years ?>???

are you for real ? the prices of services drop all the time as newer and betters things come out to be paying what we are now for the same services 2 years down the road would be stupid.

I've got a load of services with Rogers which includes 2 home lines. Had it for the past four months and no problems to report. Only down time I experienced was when they replaced, a switch I think, that led into my building.

I just got a call about upgrading my cable modem - anyone know if there is any downside to going through with it? I remember that sometimes after everyone switched modems, people who stayed on the old servers with the old modems would have ridiculous speeds, so I'm curious if I should do this or not.

it has nothing to do with any "servers". your home will always be using the same switch/router that is outside your place. the only thing that changes is your modem because your bandwidth is capped with that.

at least thats what i think. i upgraded from regular high speed to the extreme (a while back when extreme first came out) and never had any problems.

We in Canada pay the one of the highest rates for cell phone bills in the world becuase only four companies have monopolized the industry. When will that stain CRTC allow other frequencies to become available so that Ted Rogers can shake in his knees. I cant wait for that day.

there's no reason to hold onto the old modems... the new docsis modems are much better... my sb5100 that i've had for a couple years now can suckdown every last drop of the 8mbps potential for extreme

is it still called a monopoly when consumers have four cellular providers to choose from?
