First off, i want to apologize for the tens of thousands of listeners that were prepared to tune in last night.
Last night, there was some miscommunication with emails to Prydz' management.. and of course, happens. I did get the OK from his manager listed on his page.. but when i get there they say that nobody knew about anything and that the manager was "livid" about it.. :conf:
Prydz' management were cool as hell about it still, they told me nicely that it wasn't a go, and i talked to the touring manager and I even apologized to his crew for any discomfort I may of caused anyway (trying to keep professionalism).

Funny, that's what happened to me with the interview in Atlanta. Michael and Réne haven't been communicating well :p |

Thats funny because I had a ton of people that were on the CORE list, and apparently that list magically dissapeared when they came to the door. ing scums. |
Yeah I used the AlterImage list.....I asked Mike if they turned in a list when I got inside but I guess their's didn't work out either......horse |

The thing that blew my mind, is how big of an Mike Bindra was to me about the whole situation. Now, in order not to cause drama, or ruin our repertoire as professionals, I'm not going to bad mouth him or Madeevent. I'm just going to say that i was really baffled by the level of disrespect he had towards me. I kept my cool and just exited the booth, and he even told me to get out even though i was trying to prove to him by showing him the email transactions btwn management. I've been working with them since early '05 (example) and I really don't know what got into them. I've been doing this worldwide for over 4 years and I've never ran into a problem like last night. I guess there is a first time for everything. So again, those who expect a stream, I apologize. We will still run future events with major clubs no matter who promotes it or books it, as it is always up to the DJ. Our goal is not only to satisfy our listeners with free streams to those who can't make it to the club worldwide, but also to add more of a global appeal to the dj's to promote future events. Thanks & see you all on the dance floor.
P.S. Another thing that happened, Mike from T.Nu had an all access pass from Made for photographic purposes, but wasn't allowed in with a camera:conf: Yet there were photographers in the booth the whole night.. i totally didn't get that.. |
Sorry u had to go through that m8. Mad f*** up if u ask me. I waited til 1 AM last nite but no stream came on and someone posted that it wasnt happening so I went to sleep. Either way, i mean seriously, wtf. If anything, it helps promote MADE when u have their event hosted on the stream and possibly getting more ppl into the music in some way shape or form. Whatever, this is what happens when ppl make money. goes to their heads and the lose all self of respect for others and themselves as well. Maybe u can talk to the ppl at Avalon and see if they will let u stream that show live with Eddie Halliwell. I remember di.fm doing one there one yr with audio and video for a Ferry Corsten party back in 2004 I think. Just a thought. Sucks that the listeners out there missed out on a good nite like last nite. :whip: :whip: :whip: |

Thanks man.. i totally agree. It could only increase their global appeal without paying me a dime because we are a non-profit org that runs on donations and is here for the music. Slowly i'll get into more spots and hopefully get my video crew along with it. :) |

Wait... why? No one gave a bad review. Yeah, we all had to pay full price, but, other than that, it was a great night. |

Hey everyone.
Well last night defiantly had its ups and downs, so Ill start with the downs.
The biggest and most disappointing issue of the evening was the guestlist situation. Without getting into to much detail, the Core guys, Mike Swells and AlterImage list were all in to the required parties well before the night began. Through no fault of our own our list didn’t “show up’ to the door until later in the even when, unfortunately, many people had already paid full price to get into the club.
Being a party goer first I know the frustrations of being told that the list you signed up for wasn’t there and being told you have to pay more than expected.
Many many thanks to all those that did sign up for the downstairs djs list and please rest assured that we all took the correct steps on our end out of our respect and appreciation for your support.
It may not mean much at this point but we have talked to the parties involved on how we can prevent things like this in the future.
On to the ups of the night!
Pacha was packed last night. Lots of people out all ready to party.
Mike and Frank did a phenomenal job opening despite having to bear the grunt of the whole list situation. For that I thank them for their professionalism and understanding. You guys did a great job all around and its always fun to see you too.
A big thanks to Mike Swells for making the trip down and playing with us last night. Mike really shines in the late night set and his music got better and better and the night progressed. Boston has a lot to offer to us here in NYC and this will be the first of many times we will get to hear Swells here in NY.
Adam and I had a blast spinning as well. Fun how time flies by when you are having fun! We got to drop a few of our own productions and it was great tagging with Mike a bit at the end. :)
A special thanks to Gene and Mike for coming out and taking pics of the night! I can wait to see them guys, thank you!
Upstairs I was really digging the opening dj. He was playing some really solid tracks and set the night up well for Prydz. Mixing, programming aside Prydz was dropping some major bombs that left my jaw on the floor. Technically he may not be the best but he delivered what I expected and it was grea to hear his stuff on the Pacha system (which sounded great btw)
So again, thanks to all those that came out last night. I hope the unfortunate situation with the guestlist doesn’t shy anyone away in the future. As I said we did all we could have done on our end and will take even more steps in the future to make sure things like that never happen again. |

What! A! Night! I havent had such a great night since my first pvd party @ twilo!
It was amazing! And this is coming from trance junkie like me. If you ever wanna turn your mate onto tech/house/minimal - take them to see prydz! It was ing sickkkk, I you not. Erik took me to the depth I've never been to... And from there he showed me what a kiddie music I've been listening to. It wads a full, unadulterated sonic delicacy... Naw, it was primitive, obscene... Down right ing nasty.... And I loved every second of it!!!! It was like being thrown into a sonic waterfalll. You're drowning in this magic and your body pumps adrenaline through every vein! Intense!
I was sober but felt like I was tripping my ass of! And that's a feeling I haven't felt in a long time. This was nothing short of tech house baptism, consider me a convert!
Did anyone id any trax? All i could id was a rmx of "proper education" |
