Can't Id but its awesome!!!!
kingchinc
was pretty damn awesome for the 3 hours he played. very short lived. Also thought I was going to love his productions, but now I realize that most of them are filler tracks. I couldn't believe he just ended and gave back the dj booth to the opener, who in my opinion was alot of fun.

Not to packed either, enough room to dance. no lasers though, didn't expect them.

Big up to Mike swells for tearing it down in the basesment.

night ended at 530am, way too early for my tastes.

Once again, I just can't stand that place... Reduced and comp admission-names just diffuse into thin air when the guestlists enter that place from promoters'/DJs' hands, I really don't get it... Me and my friend ended up paying full, but what canya do....

I thought the opener was pretty good; playing any harder than what he played would have given Prydz a stroke coming on, considering like kingchinc said, most of his stuff is just filler... So in that respect, the opener was very good in my opinion... Prydz came on and his first three or four tracks were absolutely insane... And then he slowly nosedived... But yeah, I was looking at people around me during the first four tracks and thought to myself, "Wow, someone must have told him New York loves their drug music" haha During the first few tracks, I felt like I was at a JP party (in a good way though), the best I could describe the sounds would be to say it was like Victor Calderone vs. Adam Beyer, true MADNESS... It was really good, wish I could ID everything before "muranyi", because what I heard after it was so-so/ehhh, less energetic than what Jason Jollins would play in his first hour opening for a guy like Ferry or Armin, however, I'll be fair, I only caught half his set... The crowd was feeling it for the most part though, crowd was wierd though... I saw like 3 fights while outside, I don't know how people get let in with bleeding noses and blood all over their shirts, but hey, as mentioned earlier, what canya do....

The real fun was in the basement, great set especially by Frank Chiarello (didn't get to catch Mike, since I got in later), AlterImage, and my big surprise of the night, Mike Swells... Musically the order should have been reverse, with Mike opening the night, then AI, and then the Core guys, but totallyyyyy not complaining, they were all sick! But yeah, Mike Swells was great, gave me my monthly deep house fix, which I've been craving at least once or twice a month recently, I'd LOVE to see him in a place like Sully or Shelter... That's the beauty of EDM: the feelings, emotions, and even the expression on my face are totally different when, say, a tribal DJ is playing, compared to a deep house DJ, compared to a trance DJ... So last night, I was in my deep house mode, good ! Listening to the demo in a minute, can't wait...

Nice seeing everyone out! Especially Rory, Daniiiiiiiiii, Mike & Frank (as always), Mike from Nightreveler, AYSTAR (I loved your FOB mating call dance), and southbound!! Probably forgot a buttload of people but yeah, nice seeing everyone out...

Sick!Period!
What a great night, he did not come on until 2am, Dana who opened up for him did a pretty good job, sometimes he really had the crowd, sometimes he lost the,m. About 130 yoou can tell the anticipation was building up, the floor was packed, not Armin packed, but JP/Calderone packed. It was areal good crowd at that point, you can tell there were those there just to be at Pacha, then there were those there for eric, but it was not a sausage factory like trance shows have become. I spoke to Eric briefly before he went on, He looked at the crowd and said"ing amazing", when he came on I was surprised that the crowd went as nuts as they did, I was just expecting him to come on and a few people give him props, but as soon as he took the stage, people were chanting his name, jumping up and down, applause etc. The first thing eric did was face the crowd and clap for them, pointed to a couple of people then began to play. We heard at previous gigs he was non responsive to the crowd, so either his people read the boards and made him change, or maybe (imo) he wasnt feeling those crowds. At Pacha one could see right off the bat that he was into the crowd, no hes not Ferry or Tiesto, not-playing and laughing with the crowd, but he was clapping looking up, and just working his sound boards. I told him I was disappointed he wasnt rocking the Yankee cap here in NYC, he laughed and said it was "cold outside". When he played Pryda tracks like RYMD, crowd went absolutely insane, and it was nice to see the crowd moving-dancing, not facing the DJ and worshiping. As for me the night started out as a disappointment when i spoke to the ETN>FM guy who said the set would not be recorded cause the people of made would not allow it, but i got to meet the corenyc guys, and eco which was a real plus of thenight, the core guys through down tight and all the crowd had to comethrough the basement cause upstairs was closed, so they got alot of listeners. Saw Gmoney who is still the man lol, the night was great and i need to make it to more "house" shows, better crowds. Eric definitly played in Pryda style last night as opposed to a Prydz-commercial style. Constant minimal beats in the back and then building this progressive/electro sound on top of it, at times it was just minimal, but then he would just have this tremendous build up in which the crowd justreally responded too. Complaints from previos gigs was bad mixing, again last night was the complete opposite, he practically put on a school of how to mix, Im not kidding, it was flawless. Not to offend my other east coast friends who read the boards, and as a journalist we are suppose to be neutral, but I believe NYC crowdsdo bring the best out of DJs, there was a certain vibe goin on last night, a genuine excitement, I will talk to friends at Made later, but i have a feeling from previous conversations tehy Did notexpect the turnout that ended up showing up. although he does not get hyped much in the States he must have a devoted fan base, because they were out in force last night=-overall one of the ebst clubbing nights of the year, right up there with Tiesto shows and above and beyond, and PS1,o. Time for me to head back to my house roots and hit up morillo and sanchez more
djquick83
LOL, u had me til u mentioned HOUSE roots and Morillo in the same sentence. His is garbage nowadays. At one time, he used to play some sick stuff but ughh, commercial garbage and the sad part is he thinks what he spins is actually good. LOL. But sounds like Eric Prydz put on a sick show. Too bad MADE wouldnt let it be recorded. Allthough, it should be the DJs decision, not MADE's to put that into effect. I mean after all, it is HIS F**** music. He should be able to do whatever he wants with it.

Ummm WTF happened to the guest list @ the door??? Had to pay full price after hearing "oh I guess the list your speaking of was never turned in" as the dumb bitch hardly even looked through the lists sitting next to her......ing scandalous. Had a good time in the basement.....music was great thanks to Frank, Mike, and the Alter Image guys. Went upstairs a few times....place was getting packed and Prydz was not on by 1:30 so we decided to leave after dropping over $200 in the short period of time we were there.....just wasn't worth it anymore lol. Besides wanted to save my energy for tonight @ Love. So to sum it up.....Pacha still sucks.

First off, i want to apologize for the tens of thousands of listeners that were prepared to tune in last night.
Last night, there was some miscommunication with emails to Prydz' management.. and of course, happens. I did get the OK from his manager listed on his page.. but when i get there they say that nobody knew about anything and that the manager was "livid" about it.. :conf:
Prydz' management were cool as hell about it still, they told me nicely that it wasn't a go, and i talked to the touring manager and I even apologized to his crew for any discomfort I may of caused anyway (trying to keep professionalism).
The thing that blew my mind, is how big of an Mike Bindra was to me about the whole situation. Now, in order not to cause drama, or ruin our repertoire as professionals, I'm not going to bad mouth him or Madeevent. I'm just going to say that i was really baffled by the level of disrespect he had towards me. I kept my cool and just exited the booth, and he even told me to get out even though i was trying to prove to him by showing him the email transactions btwn management. I've been working with them since early '05 (example) and I really don't know what got into them. I've been doing this worldwide for over 4 years and I've never ran into a problem like last night. I guess there is a first time for everything. So again, those who expect a stream, I apologize. We will still run future events with major clubs no matter who promotes it or books it, as it is always up to the DJ. Our goal is not only to satisfy our listeners with free streams to those who can't make it to the club worldwide, but also to add more of a global appeal to the dj's to promote future events. Thanks & see you all on the dance floor.

P.S. Another thing that happened, Mike from T.Nu had an all access pass from Made for photographic purposes, but wasn't allowed in with a camera:conf: Yet there were photographers in the booth the whole night.. i totally didn't get that..
