I'm not sure if this is actual tune or not, but Dave Dresden - Real high on druuuugs or something like that is kinda funny
Has G&D done any trance tunes recently? |

Where to begin…ing amazing night. One of the best I have ever had at Guv. I don’t care what anyone says Josh and Dave played a wicked set and the crowd was loving every minute of it
Zocalo, Read my Mind, Depeche mode, Back by any Demand, Colombian Soul…the list goes on and on…I just wish they would have played Replay the Night but what can you do
Highlight of the night is when I told my buddy to go up there and give Dave one of our reefers…which he did and it was one of many the Dave hooted on
Quote from his myspace:

i could write a novel about how and why, but that's boring. so instead, i'lll just say it's not worth it to BRING pot into canada.
that's because there's plenty on the other side ;)
the northern lights are shining and Deadmau5 Arguru is playing. whoo hooo :)

????????????????????? WHAT??
How the hell are those two even related? If you enjoy hearing "hits" you are somehow lesser of a fan of the music altogether? How can you possibly judge someone's musical knowledge/'fandom' because they want to hear some notable tunes?
Grasping at straws there.
I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your book on Saturday but frankly seeing as you weren't even there, why the need to come in with a bull in china shop attitude professing to have some kind of 'definition' for a good night out? |

this thread has turned out pretty good.....sum realy good discussion topics pop up....
i really must say from my experience djs play more commercial/chessy based upon where in the world there are.....if its a euro dj first time at so and so club they tend to play to impress(i.e. Menno DeJong/Guv).....but if the dj has been to the same club over and over and they feel that the club isnt a challenge(to prove themselfs-i.e. Tiesto/Docks/Dec06) then there juss play chessy.....thats the vibe i get......
wheres the pics of the girl climbing to the top of Guvy.....
no word of a lie i once seen a stripper climb to the top of a 20 foot pole and swing around it and fly off it and land on a table 3 rows back....hahahahaha good times \end highjack\ |

| I agree with Jon that the productions have gotten to be total crap, but that's because how the commercial nature of trance has become.Imo in a lot respects it's evolved to the use of crazy amounts of vocals rather than incorporating other aspects of EDM genres within it. Like making things techier or housier in a trance tune instead of just using the same old formula. (Hell even a lot of other genres have incorporated melodies to spice things up instead of just pure beats.) Why can't trance pick up a beat or two as well? (and cut out the vocal garbage or keep it to a minimal abstract nature?) There are two tracks that stick in my mind off Politics of Dancing 2 (and in a PvD set in 05) that follow this. Any trance track (or set) that incorporates a bit of variety yet at the same time maintains what made it 'accessable' without becoming super cheeze is how the genre can get back on track. It's lost it's way with this... |
