the crowd was completely different from last time! i didnt drink but still so many rolling weirdos! why do i always get asked if i want x :stongue: also the lighting was soo much better than last time! probably because i saw 2 people in the lighting booth rather than just 1. the xmas decor really helped too
who was the opener?!? he played a really great set, lots of IDs for me. Every other track me and 2 new yorkers i was hanging out with from the start were like wow :eyes:
picotto started off really slow and the last 45m he was a bit harder and dropped mostly his productions. i thought his SF set last October was a dozen times better! next time i see Picotto I'm bringing "PLAY HARD" signs :D not sure if anyone else noticed but through out his set he was complaining about the setup. the monitors had to be moved, then cdj switched) and then at the very end even the mixer got swapped. not sure if the opening dj is used to that setup or got adjusted to it during his set but thats a lot of no nos for a headliner :whip: i would of been pissed as a headliner :(
SvD was Svd! concentrating on mixing while still having an entertaining joyful stage presence! really wish i could of stayed until the end of his set but had to go catch my flight :crazy:
great meeting johnny monsoon (really hope to see you at 1015 soon ;)), tmoney(?) and one other big TA who I didnt catch his name as he was drunk as hell and i could barley hear haha
well not sure if ill be back any time soon since im not hooked up for 08 yet... but will try to be back for PvD in Central Park :D

To sum up my experience:
-Picotto blew, could not mix, and that's sad considering every song had the same EXACT bassline.
-Sander ing OWNED!!! Oh man, I haven't seen a DJ smile and wave that much since Ferry. What a talented sweetheart.

i wasn't planning on coming out but after the office christmas party i wasn't yet done so decided to stop by at WH. first time there in all these years. no line outside so we paid $25 each and came in. apparently there was a different line for Made and we were told we'd have to go outside an pay again. I made a little noise and one of the managers came by (i think his name was gerard). he apologized and gave us both complementary bracelets.
great meeting everyone. blake, kelly, wai, erica, gerard, heather, ... the rest of the night is a blur. i kinda remember the lights coming on then somehow i was at home. i think sander's set was pretty good.

Didn't show up till around 2 and after reading some of the Picotto reviews I'm glad I did. 2-3 was pretty much a disaster, what genre of music does he usually play? Couldn't figure this out from his set.
I stayed middle back so the crowd wasn't really an issue and, to be honest, a great crowd is obviously great but if you're there with friends and the music is good then I don't really worry about what other people are doing/not doing. It sucks to have drinks spilled you on, people falling over you but we've all been 'that guy' once or twice in our lives, right?
Sander was on point. Solid mixing, track selection and nonstop bangers from beginning to end. With the exception of Wilson's mix of 'fix you' and 'the fall,' he left the trance at home. Thank God. Tons of filthy of filthy tech tracks that, for one, gave me new appreciation for Deadmau5. 'Not Exactly' sounded spectacular on a big system, my car does not do it justice. 'Show My Shuffle' and his mix 'the girl you lost to cocaine' also were excellent drops. Anybody know what mix of 'Blue Monday' he closed with? Whatever it was, A+
When he's on he's the best out there. The End.

nice meeting you! As per your comment, I def agree with what you are saying ^^ BUT the unfortunate problem, and cause of all of our bitching, was that literally EVERYONE around us was acting a fool. Wai and I travelled the globe trying to find a spot where all the nonsense wasnt occurring and unfortunately, there was so much of it going on constantly that it ruined the vibe for us. It was constantly interferring with enjoying the music and friends because not a full 3 minutes would go by without a grope, a drink THROWN (I forgot to mention the people THROWING drinks), someone falling on you, getting smashed in the head by a head swinger, pushing you, licking you...lol...it def interferes with a good time :(

As per mauro, if he stuck with the hard techier he woulda been fine. I think he just needs to stick to one genre or another because it was just CONFUSING. I dont think technical difficulties has anything to do with track selection. I am sure he is a good DJ but tonight was not his night. :mad:
