Well posting any full IM conversation online would be immature and not right so I'm afraid you'll have to be kept in the dark for the most part... But when approached about playing alongside his countrymen DJ Preach at SHELTER here in New York, the first thing said was "yeah, to be quite frank, US gigs dont really turn me on" (copying and pasting directly from the 4th line of the convo) followed by mention about how he doesn't like how our "countrys been ruinning (mispelled and then corrects it)... running.... ruining... same ."

Didn't intend on taking it deeper but I find it offensive of you, a fellow New York promoter, to think anyone has anything to gain by making a false rumor out of no where... Does a New York promoter have anything to gain by voicing his opinions on the personality of a DJ? Or does the DJ have anything to gain by claiming those opinions are false rumors and not true? Answer that one... I went against my word by taking it further, but no one should ever imply that I'm a liar, because I'll have to back myself up... It's New York, we shoot from the hip.

Hey Martin :)

I was actually going to post an "hola mi muy amigo's" thread saying hello to everyone, it's been a while since I've posted on the nyta forum.

Man, Argentina was and always is amazing. I was literally thinking about just staying down there and living down there while I was there. The only thing that held me back was my family and everything here in NYC.

One day it would be amazing if you were there while I was there, we will party down for sure :)

btw that woulda been sick as if you played with mah man preach. holy shiza :)

as per the rumors, I have heard them too. In stead of speculating, those who meet him can make their own opinions, and those who wont will be left to wonder/not care/listen to whatever rumors please them.

you have got to be kidding me. lawllercaust. you should en keep that transcript and sell it on ebay in 3 years... just toss me 10%.

now that i finally remeber who you are, last time we spoke i was working out of a basement apartment making say, 800$ a month a piss job i in hated. was in a pretty rotten disposition with alot of really ty offers if you ask me... but what ing balls you have bringing some 2 year old aim convo back into effect, not to mention on a public forum... good on ya.

as for *answering that* ... would you still have posted it had i have moved to a remote island off the coast of Palau selling poster of the Hoff? not in likely.

:D

Eco you're a good dude, a friend, and you have a bright future as a producer and a dj. I don't want to argue or debate about it further.

I was responding to the Doomster when I said "I personally wouldn't listen to what someone else tells me if I can't see it for myself (ie, his personality)".

I generally don't believe things that others tell me unless I see or witness them for myself.

Deadmau5 has been one of my favorite producers in 2007, I have heard great things about his dj sets and I'm looking forward to catching one. Hopefully I'm in town for his NYC Debut in February.

p.s. I wouldn't call me a New York City Promoter, at least I hope that's not how people view me :)

Yeah man, you're totally gunna be Top 10, yeah!!!!

Well, I was a big fan of yours, I had all your dozens of short 30 second tracks, and just heard a sample of your song "afterhours" from a friend of mine in Germany, not to mention looped the songs on your website whenever I could... "Faxing Berlin" wasn't out yet, and neither were your other 49 hits... That convo was in May 2007 when nobody knew you, I was ready to drop about $1000 to bring you here, but all you could reply was how US gigs "dont turn you on"... A "Deadmau5 in NYC" thread would have had 4 views and 2 replies 7 months ago, by me probably... And then we spoke, and well, the rest is history...

Sorry Kelly, those ain't rumors... That's me speaking to someone in a "ty apartment" with a horrible disposition... Just because his whole life has apparently changed in 7 months, doesn't mean memories fade, cos the 7 months feel like minutes ago for me...

I'd rather have a Hoff poster than a bipolar DJ, for the record.

PS-I'm not a creep who saves convos.. I have Adium on my Mac and it saves everything lol

Whoops, meant to add the "/DJ" to that haha... You've booked and flown DJs, you know how it is, so that's what I meant by addressing you as "promoter"... Anyway, no argument here, just throwing out the fact.... Gotta see some videos from Argentina man! lol

one hoff coming up, because as discussed. i dont play US gigs without proper visas. i.e. "no sir, im just visiting friends" nor was i willing to jeopardize my future by being snagged doing just that.

then i got on a new york based agency, who took a good damn long time sorting out the proper paperwork that allows a canuck to legally enter the country and do his thing. It is what it is.

I respect Marcello enough to believe has legitimate reasons for feeling the way he does...I also believe everyone should form their own judgments on people especially because we all interact differently with one another. Either way perhaps this is not the best place to carry out this dispute.
