How can you win if your platforms are silent and repressed as well as your candidates randomly jailed.

how can you lose when you get more votes than the other guy:conf:

dont be so naive..George W Bush ;). If he controls the media how is Kasparov to deliver his platform if he isnt allowed to. Someone who would participate in such a fair election would obviously be above tampering right?

all i'm saying is that it would seem one is ed even if things are fair and straight. look no one is disputing putin's track record. i'm sure there's a lot of that we don't know about. but personally i feel that he's the right man from russia.

this is even based on personal experience. after struggling for so long under other leaders my grandparents were using the money we sent them on food and necessities, now economy is flowing, social security is being paid, crime is down. they were able to save the $200 a week we send and buy an automobile, which they feel safe driving in. two of my relatives were able to get better jobs with the new market and businesses open and build houses for their families, two others sold appartments in Moscow and banked, now moved to the country to live off the land. look YOU don't have to be happy with Putin, but people there are, and the country is happy. and that's more important to me than the feelings of some trolls like Mikey Mike because his country got offended after putin got rid of a guy that was talking ... shouldn't have been talking in the first place... imo.
you can't just force a country into a democracy after 50 years of pure communism. that will take time. but i also hear from my friends in the country and they're able to express themselves far more than before. they're writing articles that are anti-putin and are getting published, they hold rallies, there's a whole democratic youth movement in russia that will take time to develop but the country is moving in the right direction and putin was the stepping stone they needed. personally i don't feel like he is the "dictator" you guys think or the media portrays him to be. he's just not an idiot and runs his government with hard-edge tactics. it's not pretty but it works, and that important. better than having an idiot going on feelings and rash judgements.

maybe it's an american/canadian thing to trash your president when he s up, us russian focus on his successes, no one is perfect you know?

i polled my 5 best friends asking them if i was the best dj on earth. 100% said yes, i hope to spam your myspace and hotmail shortly with vote for me adds.

@ Dennys im not trying to debunk everything you say, im only having a discussion in which i have strong opinions and find interesting. (how often in all the years have i actually done this ;) ) Thats the beauty of discussion, we are both free to partake in it, unfortunately the Russian people don't share this freedom. I'm not saying that i am 100% right or wrong, but the latter is 100% wrong no matter who's side you happen to be arguing. When there are no arguments to be made it isn't always because Utopia exists. ;)

TIME MAGAZINE SAID THAT PERSON OF THE YEAR IS NOT AN AWARD AND NEVER HAS BEEN

You know who else was man of the year? Hitler (Time.com).

Many of you need to read the article. Your confusion is understandable, but read the article and everything will become clear.

I see someone has already answered to this "argument" of yours.
