There are a ton of awesome DJs on TA...
Paul Webster, Mike Nichol, Breakfast, James Zabiela, etc... I'm sure there are way more. We should really get a DJ or 2 to come to meet a bunch of TAs. Do some signing or even spin a quick set somewhere. I'll think about it... |

i think a meet + greet could work as long as its planned correctly, a good day is picked, good location, and somewhere where people arent forced to pay.
didnt the 1st meet + greet in 04 work?
and then in 05 the people who planned it got ed cuz of the restaurant they did it at or something? i dont remember exactly.
but anyway, i think its time this got tried again... yea not everyone is going to go or make it, but as long as some people make it out i think its something thats fun for those that do go.
so whatever, heres my idea... no idea if it would work or whatnot but whatever...
how about a TA BBQ? (kinda like the ones we FLTAs do) just on a bigger scale. obviously this would have to be done in a location where a lot of out of towners can easily get to, no one is going to take a cab to key biscayne or whatever. but how about at south pointe park? its on 1 washington ave. there are huts and tables and bbqs and everything there. its big enough for a large crowd. and how about just running it all day long like we do with the FLTA BBQs. pick an early day of conference (when not everyone is so cracked out yet like tuesday or wedneday) and just run it all day long. im sure we could set up some equipment and what not and just have an all day long party. TAs could come and leave whenever since we're there all day, and thered be no preset time people are trying to rush to make. plus we wouldnt have to worry about reserving a restaurant or whatever was used last time.
i dunnno. i think itd be cool, but other than going to the beach and stuff in that area, ive never done anything there. but i have seen people have bbqs and , so why cant we?
