| I think of most people who believe in UFO sightings the same way I think about people who believe in chemtrails. |

If you had any idea what you're talking about then you wouldn't mention metals and minerals but subatomic particles, or at least atoms and nucleons. I will not embark into a stupid discussion of weird new elements, different laws of nature or any other fantastic speculations. There's not a single fact that would make any intelligent person believe such things. The only point of these theories is to move the whole subject to a place where it can't be refuted by science or common sense. Religion has done the same thing for centuries. Of course you can believe whatever you want, even if it has nothing to do with the reality of our universe. |
Oh please, I bring up the possibility of undiscovered elements in the universe and now you want to classify me as a religious fanatic. The point is, Science has yet to explain everything, and until it does, neither of you naysayers can refute anything I've said until concrete evidence is found.

Oh yeah, great name drop there genius. |

hahahahahaahahahahhaha *breath* hahahahahahaha.
we don't need to "refute" . the onus is completely on you in this topic of conversation. you have brought us NO evidence to support your theory, so we can dismiss it just as easily with NO evidence.
ahhh, kids today! :) |

| Oh yes, so sorry for being able to formulate my own opinions about the universe. Oh wait, I'm not. |

im gonna side with einstein for the time being ;) |
True but what I was trying to say is that we, as human beings, are way too small to explain things that are way too far from us. Who knows what might be lurking on some other planet, galaxy or whatever. As long as we can't see what's up there, I can't say we know something about universe outside our solar system.
But yeah, for the time being, Einstein's side is a good one! :D |

You can formulate whatever theories you want. But don't be surprised that people refuse to accept them if they contradict scientific knowledge and common sense. Especially if the only thing you can bring up to support your opinion is "that might not be true" and "I haven't been proven wrong".

We've already debated this at length elsewhere, so all I will say is this:
Drake's Equation. |
