long time no see ! Ok, not really. Many things have changed in my life in the past few weeks. I quit my PhD program. Got sick of my new advisor. He wasn't giving me a good research topic to work on. I was already 6 months into the program and didn't want to invest any more time (3+ years) by switching universities or advisors. So I decided to terminate my program from Spring 2008, wrapped up my stuff and went back to my home country. India has a booming job market atm. Awesome jobs + good salary packages.
It will take some time to get used to a different quality of life in India. But it feels good to be home after 2 years :gsmile: |
Reckon I'll get to talk to you on the phone then when my computer goes up here in the states so you can give me no useful advice or an RMA to get it fixed. Payback...
Lol!

Wow, Omega. I imagine that at first this was such a major disappointment for you. I just felt sadness when I read your post because I know how I would feel if I were in your position.
I'm glad that you were able to return home with good feelings. I think I have that, too. If I have to leave the program, I'll be so happy to go home. Many don't have that, I suppose.
Cheers! |

| I dissagree, as far as changes go; it is a small one. If Omega was to invert the universe by putting his into an electrical socket; then I would say that would be a relatively large change. If he was to morph into a whale & then get picked up by a japanese whaling ship to be eaten for scientific experiements, then that would be a relatively large change. If he was to become one with the earth by putting sand up his arse hole, then that would be a relatively large change. If Omega decided to flip out, throw some dishes (preferably dirty ones), break some windows & then poop the sand out for a midnight munchies snack, then that would be a relatively large change. |
