i am not a huge trance fan anymore but last night the music was great. no fluffy cheesy trance that is being played by everybody nowadays. |
You think what's being played now is fluffy and cheesy...I don't think it's at all in comparisson to older stuff! |

lol. i can think of few tunes but eh. 03-04 vocal trance was pretty cheese and fluffy yeah
but classic vocal trance... BT - Dreaming, BT - Mercury and Solace... so fluffy and cheese, yet so good lol
gah. i'm going to throw up now that I've praised some vocal trance lol |

Tooooo Baaaad!
O lounge is doing such a good job lifting the scene in Hamilton all on its own, and like this happens, so sad to hear. This happened (on a smaller scale) when i spun there last with hatiras... but this in no way is a good example of the people that go to O -Lounge, some of the nicest people (mostly students) are rockin it, and as some of you know the promotions team there is nothing short of spectacular. hope the city can leave its eyes open... how was Justin Oh's set? |

Interesting night to say the least.
Crowd was well up for it though. Great to see some solid energy with plenty of hands in the air and chanting.
Too bad some bad apples ruined it for everyone. Sound in O-Lounge still needs major work though, and I've yet to see any improvements on air conditioning as claimed.
Props to Owen + Mark for bringing Andy in and making sure things were as accommodating as could be, considering the circumstances. |

Yea yeah I recall. Definitely a shame when events receive such unnecessary interruptions... I do look forward to hitting up the area again though |

i shouldn't say that everybody is playing that kind of stuff. maybe it's just because for some reason i can't get into new trance. i want to like it still but i find i get very bored when i listen to most new sets. trance was my first real introduction to electronic music and i still love the genre but maybe my taste has just evolved. i will still give it a chance like last night from time to time though. |

so andy moor was playing a solid set of prog trance/electrance and some of his own tunes thrown in... and the crowd was blowing up for each track and the atmosphere was great. hearing justin oh play the justin martin remix of mushrooms was something i thought i'd never get to hear in a club :D
then suddenly i see a few guys doing the homer kick in circles in the middle of the dance floor. i go closer to see wtf is going on then some fag elbows me between the eyes, i push him away from me then 2 other fags tackle him... it gets broken up/restarted a couple times but each time it's this group of 250lb guys who looked like extras from the bathtub scene in training day. finally everything seems to have calmed down... then the music stops and the lights go on. what a buzzkill
so while everyone is cheering for him to go on me and my friends know it's definitely over and go to leave before the coat check line started... and at the door cops are letting no one leave because someone was sent to the hospital... so we had to wait 15 mins with the lights on before they let everyone funnel out.
i guess the situation was handled well for what was going on though, just too bad it had to happen. i was also thinking F the po-lice at first, but if my girl or any of my friends were the ones seriously hurt then i wouldnt care if they shut it down and kept us for an hour to find out what happened. the night ws perfect up until then though... happens i guess |
I'm so sorry dude. :( |
