okay. wow that took a look of internet sleuthing.
there was a Delta Heavy date added on 5/22/2002. the February 02 date was a 'warm-up' date for the main tour. either way, i don't think in 2002 Goldenvoice was as anal about competing dates as they are now.
As I already mentioned I had discussed with a major local promoter and a DJ about doing a party here last summer and we could not do it due to the booking restrictions. It does appear that national tours **can** allow for LA dates sometimes. We're not talking about what was allowed in 2002 in this thread...we are talking about can a Coachella booked artist play here in 2008. IMO you most likely can't get it done in LA right before or after the concert. |

| JUSTICE LIVE @ The Roxy LA 5/01/07 this show was a day or 2 days AFTER their Coachella gig. Maybe these restrictions are for bigger acts. |

and they are playing again this year right before Coachella (as part of a national tour). so no question there are documented exceptions. |

They should do it in that ing warehouse again. That was awesome! Not that I have a problem with the Showbox... Saw Diggers there with Chloe before I moved and it was lovely. But for both S and D that place is gonna be jammed! |
