The tackle was one that shows up in almost every game at some point. It was a stupid tackle but hardly any intent. I feel so so sorry for Eduardo that the red card seems justified, but if you look at it strictly from a football point of view, if the leg hadnt been broken then a yellow wouldn't have angered anybody.
2nd minute ot 75th minute doesnt matter Zewad, and pleeeeeeeeeeeease do not compare the two footballs. Luckily you didn't mention the 's' word |

What exactly in my post did you find so clueless then?
Just because it happens all the time doesn't make it right. The FA needs to stamp out careless tackles like this with studs showing. A life ban is too harsh and I agree that it wasn't malicious but that doesn't excuse it. His foot is 30cm off the ground, straight leg and studs showing. That's a ing red and should be every time.
Though if you want to get all hostile then have fun in your time off while the rest of us play in the Euro, and then proceed to kick out your worthless ass from the World Cup too. Oh and to stick to the topic, Eduardo will be the one to pound a few shots through your awfully overhyped and useless national team as well |

Ian, is this really a challenge from behind?

Because it looks to me like it's full on from pretty much the front. I see this sort of challenge week in week out go without punishment - including even a yellow card. At this level and at the level I play at as well. The difference this time is that someone came out with a leg broken.
You say that you don't think anyone who doesn't think this is a red card doesn't understand football. I say that anyone who does think this is a red card obviously hasn't been watching football since the premiership league came into play.
Fair play to Arsene Wenger for retracting his comment. I think this is the first time I've had even a morsel of respect for the lad since I can even remember. |
I was talking about the general climate in that post mike and not as much the incident yesterday. |
