ya this thread is amazingly entertaining as i wait for my starcraft torrent to finnish downloading!
ahh the joys of living in canada where i can download as much as i want and not worry about the mpaa, riaa, or any other wankers trying to charge me with copyright infringement..... in canada its still copyright, but we interpret it as my right to copy lol |

does my refusal to pay for any software somehow impact the industry. yes it most definatly does...

and we have it ladies and gentleman, a undisputed 10 thumbs down. Its official, I couldn't care less!
If software companies really want to make their stuff secure and bullet proof, just do what the technical softare companies do, release a dongle with your software apps. My design software requires a hardware dongle to run, i can copy the software and install it on as many machines as i want but without this dongle it wont run.
and to be quite honest alot of game companies aren't even making it difficult to pirate their software anyways. |

Yes, they are. And yet it's still not as if small to medium size developers are thriving on consoles where people "have to buy" the game. I'm sure it's piracy that's the problem for PC games, though. Clearly. I mean, just look at all the other industries affected by piracy! They're dropping like flies! |

I is can tie my shoes without my mommas help, and crack any copyright protection BS these silly little unknown PC game creators can ever come up with. Dat takes an awful lot of smarts to git it working. I be proud to be a pirate! Last good PC game to be released in a long time was Bioshock and I be purchased dat one cause it was worf it yo.

not for vism you cant...... the dongle plugs into the parralell port and it has a proprietary chip in it that is essentially one of those secure id things that generates a 12 digitnuber every 30 seconds.... my roomate tells me these are impossible to emulate.... and i trust him... he is a computer systems engineer... |
